Франция намерена выделить €100 млн для помощи ливанскому народу. Об этом заявил президент республики Эмманюэль Макрон на международной конференции в Париже в поддержку Ливана.

«ООН призвала к выделению Ливану €426 млн. Франция выделит €100 млн», - сказал французский лидер, трансляция выступления которого велась на странице Елисейского дворца в X.

Он также добавил, что Франция «внесет свой вклад в снабжение ливанской армии». Кроме того, по словам президента, Париж приветствует план набора дополнительных 6 тыс. военнослужащих в Вооруженные силы Ливана.

Макрон призвал «срочно прекратить огонь и дать возможность всем беженцам вернуться в свои дома». «Я сожалею, что Израиль продолжает проводить свои военные операции в Ливане: на юге страны, в Бейруте и за его пределами, тогда как число жертв среди гражданского населения растет, - сказал он. - Необходимо также, чтобы «Хезболлах» прекратила свои атаки против Израиля под какими бы то ни было предлогами».
