Թբիլիսիում խորհրդարանի շենքի մոտ բողոքող ընդդիմության կողմնակիցներից ոմանք հարձակվել են տղամարդու վրա՝ որոշելով, որ նա ռուս է։ Այս մասին դեպքի վայրից հայտնում է ՏԱՍՍ-ի թղթակիցը։ Ինչպես հաղորդում է ՏԱՍՍ-ի թղթակիցը, Ռուսթավելի պողոտայում, որտեղ ավարտվում էր խորհրդարանական ընտրությունների արդյունքների դեմ ցույցը, մոտեցել են վերարկուով տղամարդուն և փորձել պարզել նրա ինքնությունը։ Սակայն տղամարդը նրանց հետ երկխոսության չի գնացել՝ որոշելով հեռանալ պողոտայից։
Ինչպես պարզել է թղթակիցը, ավելի ուշ ավելի շատ մարդիկ սկսել են հետապնդել տղամարդուն՝ միմյանց ասելով, որ նա ռուս է։ Երբ տղամարդը հասել է ոստիկանական շղթայի մոտ, ցուցարարներից մեկը հարվածել է նրան։ Ցուցարարին կանգնեցրել են ոստիկանները։
Վրաստանի խորհրդարանի ընտրությունները տեղի են ունեցել հոկտեմբերի 26-ին։ Քվեաթերթիկների 99 տոկոսը մշակելուց հետո իշխող «Վրացական երազանք-Ժողովրդավարական Վրաստան» կուսակցությունը ստացել է ձայների 54 տոկոսը։
Սա թույլ է տվել նրանց ստանալ 150 մանդատներից 90-ը։ Մի քանի կուսակցություններ հայտարարել են խորհրդարանի բոյկոտի մասին, իսկ ընդդիմադիր «Կոալիցիան հանուն փոփոխությունների» հրաժարվել է պատգամավորական մանդատներից և պետական ֆինանսավորումից։ Վրաստանի նախագահ Սալոմե Զուրաբիշվիլին խորհրդարանական ընտրություններում հայտարարել է «տոտալ կեղծման» և «ձայնի գողության» մասին։
