Ադրբեջանում պահվող հայ գերիների ազատ արձակումը մեծապես կօգնի Երևանի և Բաքվի հաշտեցմանը։ Ինչպես հայտնում է ՏԱՍՍ գործակալությունը, լրագրողների հետ զրույցում այդ մասին ասել է Ռուսաստանում Հայաստանի դեսպան Գուրգեն Արսենյանը։
«Այդպիսի քայլը մեծապես կնպաստի հաշտեցմանը»,- ասել է Արսենյանն ու հավելել, որ պահվող անձանց ազատ արձակման հետ կապված մնացած հարցերը պետք է ուղղել ադրբեջանական կողմին։
Դեսպանն ընդգծել է՝ եթե Երևանն ու Բաքուն գնում են խաղաղության պայմանագիր կնքելու ճանապարհով, պատրաստվում են ամբողջ աշխարհին հայտարարել, որ երկու պետությունները, ազգերը ապրելու են խաղաղության և համագործակցության պայմաններում, ապա պետք է սկսեն քայլերից, որոնք կգնահատվեն։ Ադրբեջանը պաշտոնապես հաստատել է իր մոտ 23 հայ գերիների և այլ պահվող անձանց առկայությունը, որոնց թվում են Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի նախկին ռազմաքաղաքական ղեկավարության ներկայացուցիչները։
