Վիրուսների ակտիվացման այս շրջանում այս հիվանդությունը ծնողներից շատերին կարող է անակնկալի բերել՝ տարակուսանք առաջացնելով տարօրինակ ցանի առաջացման պատճառների վերաբերյալ․ խոսքը ձեռք, ոտք, բերան խիստ վարակիչ հիվանդության մասին է, որը բնորոշվում է ջերմության բարձրացմամբ և ձեռքերի ափերին, ոտքերի ներբաններին ու բերանի շրջանում հանդիպող տիպիկ ցանով։

Ձեռք, ոտք, բերան հիվանդությամբ ավելի հաճախ վարակվում են մինչև 10 տարեկան երեխաները, թեև կարող են հիվանդանալ նաև մեծահասակները։ Մանկապարտեզները, դպրոցներն ու տարատեսակ  խմբակները վարակի տարածմանը նպաստող միջավայր են հանդիսանում։

«Մայո» կլինիկայի տվյալներով՝ հիվանդության հարուցիչը էնտերովիրուսների և Կոքսակի վիրուսերի ընտանիքներին պատկանող վիրուսներն են, որոնք կարող են փոխանցվել մարդուց մարդուն մի քանի եղանակով՝ Օդակաթիլային ճանապարհով՝ հազալիս, փռշտալիս և այլն, բշտիկների հետ ուղղակի շփման արդյունքում, ընդհանուր օգտագործման պարագաների՝ ամանեղենի, սրբիչների, խաղալիքները ու մակերեսների միջոցով․ մակերեսներին հիվանդության հարուցիչը բավականին երկար է պահպանում իր կենսունակությունը, կղանքի միջոցով, ասենք երեխայի տակդիրը փոխելու ժամանակ, մարդկանց մեծամասնությանը այս վարակը փոխանցվում է բերանի միջոցով, մարդիկ վարակիչ են մինչ ախտանշանների ի հայտ գալը։

Հիվանդության ախտանշաններն են՝

Բարձր ջերմություն, ախորժակի, խմելու ցանկության կորուստ, կոկորդի ցավ, վատ ինքնազգացողություն, ցան բերանի շրջանում, ձեռքերի ափերին, ոտքերի ներբաններին, նստատեղին, ձեռքերին ու ոտքերին, բշտիկներ ոտքերի կամ ձեռքերի վրա, ցավոտություն բերանի շրջանում։

Հիվանդության փուլերը

«Մայո» կլինիկայի տվյալներով՝ հիվանդության գաղտնի շրջանը 3-6 օր է, հիվանդությունը սովորաբար 3 փուլով է ընթանում։ Առաջին փուլը շատ նման է գրիպին՝ ջերմություն, կոկորդի ցավ, հարբուխ ու վատ ախորժակ, որը տևում է 1-2 օր։ Այդ շրջանում հիվանդն ավելի վարակիչ է։ Երկրորդ փուլը սկսվում է հիվանդության 3-րդ օրը, երբ հայտնվում են վերքեր բերանի շրջանում, երրորդ փուլում ցան է հայտնվում ձեռքերի, ոտքերի և մարմնի այլ մասերի վրա։ Այդ ցանն անհետանում է 10 օրվա ընթացքում։ 

Այս հիվանդությունը հատուկ բուժում չունի, և հիվանդների մեծամասնությունն այն հաղթահարում է 7-10 օրվա ընթացքում, սակայն խթանող թերապիան և որոշակի դեղամիջոցները կարող են թեթևացնել ախտանշանները։ Դեղամիջոցներից կիրառվում են՝ ացետամինոֆենը (տայլենոլ, պարացետամոլ), իբուպրոֆենը։
