«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.

«Մաքուր երկաթ» գործարանի տնօրեն Կարեն Հակոբյանը շուրջ երկու ամիս է՝ գտնվում է անազատության մեջ, ինչպես նրա փաստաբանական թիմն է նշում, առանց որևէ իրավական հիմքերի: Հակակոռուպցիոն դատարանի դատավոր Սարգիս Դադոյանի որոշումը բողոքարկվել էր վերաքննության կարգով՝ «որոշման ակնհայտ անհիմն և ոչ իրավաչափ» լինելու հիմքերի ներկայացմամբ, սակայն բողոքը մերժվել էր: Փաստաբանները, համաձայն չլինելով այդ որոշման հետ, ներկայացրել էին վճռաբեկ բողոք, որի որոշումը դեռևս հայտնի չէ:
 
Մեր տեղեկություններով, Կարեն Հակոբյանի փաստաբանական թիմն այս ժամանակահատվածում քանիցս դիմել է իրավապահ մարմիններին՝ քննչական և վարույթային գործողություններ կատարելու միջնորդություններով, սակայն գրեթե երկու ամիս կալանքի տակ գտնվող Կարեն Հակոբյանի մասնակցությամբ որևէ գործողություն այդպես էլ չի կատարվել: Բնական հարց կարող է առաջանալ, թե ի՞նչն է պատճառը, որ նախկինում երբևէ չարատավորված, ինքնակամ քննչական մարմին ներկայացած գործարարը 2019 թվականին հարուցված քրեական գործով 2024 թվականին պետք է շարունակի մնալ կալանավորված:
 
Ի դեպ, նաև նշենք, որ փաստաբանները միջնորդել էին համակցված կիրառել խոշոր չափի գրավ և տնային կալանք՝ կալանքի փոխարեն, որը սակայն մերժվել էր՝ կրկին առանց որևէ ողջամիտ հիմնավորման: Մեզ հետ զրույցում Հակոբյանի փաստաբանները նշում են, որ, ի վերջո, որպես քրեական դատավարության օրենսդրության բարեփոխման հիմնավորում, ներկայացվում էր առաջնային այն, որ դա կնպաստի կալանքի կիրառման նվազմանը, որ դատարանները իրապես կդիտարկեն այլ խափանման միջոցները, սակայն փաստ է, որ գործարար Կարեն Հակոբյանի դեպքում ճիշտ հակառակն է:
