Ադրբեջանի նախագահ Իլհամ Ալիևը Հայաստանից պահանջում է զենք չգնել։
«Հայաստանը պետք է հրաժարվի սպառազինության քաղաքականությունից, սրան պետք է վերջ տրվի», - «հաղթանակի օրվա» կապակցությամբ ժողովրդին ուղղված ուղերձում ասել է Ալիևը։
«Ես մի քանի անգամ խոսել եմ այս մասին։ Եվ նրանք գիտեն, որ պետք է լսել իմ խոսքերը։ Նրանք պետք է հրաժարվեն դրանից, քանի դեռ ուշ չէ: Նրանք երբեք չեն կարողանա մրցել մեզ հետ»,- շարունակել է Ալիևը։
Ադրբեջանի ղեկավարը չի ամաչել հրապարակայնորեն պարծենալ Լեռնային Ղարաբաղից հայերի լիակատար վտարմամբ։ «2023 թվականի սեպտեմբերին իրականացված հակաահաբեկչական գործողությունն ընդամենը մի քանի ժամում նրանց ևս մեկ դաս տվեց։ Արդյունքում մեկընդմիշտ վերջ դրվեց անջատողականությանը։ Իսկ այժմ Ղարաբաղի հողի վրա անջատողականների հետք չի մնացել»,- ասել է Ալիեւը։
Այսօր Ադրբեջանի և Թուրքիայի նախագահները շնորհավորանքներ են փոխանակել վերոնշյալ առիթով։
2020 թվականի նոյեմբերի 9-ին ստորագրվեց հայտնի հայտարարություն, որով ավարտվեց Ադրբեջանի կողմից Թուրքիայի անմիջական աջակցությամբ և օգնությամբ սանձազերծված 44-օրյա պատերազմը, որի ընթացքում օկուպացված էր Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի մի մասը։ 2023 թվականի սեպտեմբերին Ադրբեջանը նոր ագրեսիա ձեռնարկեց՝ այս անգամ ամբողջությամբ օկուպացնելով Լեռնային Ղարաբաղը և հայրենի հողերից արտաքսելով 140 հազարանոց հայ բնակչությանը։
Ներկայումս Երեւանի եւ Բաքվի միջեւ բանակցություններ են ընթանում, որոնց նպատակը խաղաղության համաձայնագրի ստորագրումն է։
