Իր հրաժարականի վերաբերյալ վերջինս հանդես է եկել ուղերձով, որը ներկայացնում ենք ստորև.
«Սիրելի՛ հայրենակիցներ,
Ներքին գործերի նախարարության և ենթակա ծառայությունների սիրելի՛ գործընկերներ, Ներքին գործերի նախարարի պաշտոնից ազատվելու դիմում եմ ներկայացրել:
Մեր երկրի համար մարտահրավերներով լի այս ժամանակահատվածում միասին հաղթահարեցինք բազում փորձություններ: Միաժամանակ, ձեր արհեստավարժության, բարեխիղճ աշխատանքի ու նվիրումի շնորհիվ, մենք անցանք խորքային, համապարփակ բարեփոխումների դժվար փուլը: Հսկայածավալ ձեռքերումները, հանրային վստահության մակարդակի աճը թիմային մեծ աշխատանքի ու բոլորիս հետևողական ջանքերի արդյունք են:
Ցավոք, այս ճանապարհին կորցրեցինք մեր լավագույն ընկերներին ու գործընկերներին, որոնք խիզախաբար իրենց կյանքը նվիրաբերեցին հանուն հայրենիքի ու պետականության։ Փա՜ռք նրանց։
Վստահ եմ, որ ամբողջապես իրականություն կդառնան բարեփոխումներին միտված բոլոր ծրագրերը, և համակարգային փոփոխությունները արդյունավետորեն կծառայեն ի շահ Հայաստանի Հանրապետության քաղաքացու:
