Արցախի մշակութային ժառանգության մշտադիտարկում իրականացնող monumentwatch.org կայքը գրում է.

«2024 թվականի նոյեմբերին ադրբեջանական սոցիալական ցանցերում հայտնվել են Ստեփանակերտի հուշահամալիրի տարածքում տարբեր օգտատերերի կողմից արված տեսանյութեր: Հիմնվելով այս տեսանյութերի վրա՝ կարող ենք փաստել, որ հուշահամալիրը դեռևս կանգուն է, ավնաս են Արցախյան պատերազմի մասնակիցների, հերոսների, նշանավոր գործիչների շիրմաքարերը: Միաժամանակ  կոչեր են արվում ոչնչացնել այդ հուշահամալիրը: Նշենք, որ տեսանյութերի հեղինակներն առավելապես «շարքային» ադրբեջանցիներն են: Հուշահամալիրը ոչնչացնելու, վերափոխելու կոչերով, սակայն, առավել վտանգավոր են ադրբեջանական իշխանություններին մոտ կանգնած լրատվականների հակիրճ տեսանյութերը և դրանք ուղեկցող գրությունները, որտեղ հնչում են այդ կոչերը:

2024 թվականի նոյեմբերի 17-ին ադրբեջանական թելեգրամյան ալիքներից մեկով, որ աչքի է ընկնում իր անհանդուրժողականությամբ, ագրեսիվ գրություններով,  բացահայտ քննարկվում էր «հայերի անօրինական կառույցները», ոչնչացնելու հարցը:

Տեսանյութում երևում է, որ ադրբեջանական կողմը քերել է հուշարձանի հայերեն գրությունները: Ջնջվել է Հայոց ցեղասպանության զոհերի հիշատակին 2015 թվականին կանգնեցված զանգակատուն-հուշարձանին կից պատի հայերեն գրությունը: Վերջինս Պարույր Սևակի «Անլռելի զանգակատուն» պոեմից վերցված տողերն էին. ‹‹Ողբամ մեռելոց, բեկանեմ շանթեր, կոչեմ ապրողաց»: 2015 թվականին կանգնեցված հուշարձանի ճարտարապետն է Վլադիմիր Սարգսյանը, ով հուշարձանը կառուցել է որպես զանգակատուն՝ ոգեշնչվելով Սևակի պոեմից:

Նշենք, որ սկսած 2020 թվականից, ադրբեջանական կողմը օկուպացված Արցախում առաջին հերթին ոչնչացնում է Հայոց ցեղասպանության և Արցախյան հերոսամարտերի հիշատակին կանգնեցված հուշարձանները»։
