Ազգային ժողովի «Հայաստան» խմբակցության պատգամավոր, Ռոբերտ Քոչարյանի կրտսեր որդի Լևոն Քոչարյանը հայտարարել է, թե ցանկացել է գնալ Ժնևում կայանալիք Միջխորհրդարանական միության համաժողովին, որպեսզի գերիների մասին ելույթ ունենա, սակայն իրեն չեն ընդգրկել պատվիրակության կազմում՝ պատճառաբանելով, որ հնգօրյա է համաժողովը, և ինքը չի կարող միայն երկու օրով գնալ:
Քոչարյանը Միջխորհրդարանական միության հայաստանյան պատվիրակության 8 անդամներից մեկն է: Դրա անդամ է նաև «Քաղաքացիական պայմանագիր» խմբակցության պատգամավոր Հասմիկ Հակոբյանը։
Վերջինս «Հայկական ժամանակ»-ի հետ զրույցում նկատում է՝ երբ այդ նույն միջազգային կառույցի՝ Միջխորհրդարանական միության երիտասարդ պատգամավորների համաժողովն այս տարի սեպտեմբերին տեղի ունեցավ Երևանում՝ Ազգային ժողովից, երևի (նաև պարոն Քոչարյանի տնից) մի քանի հարյուր մետր հեռավորության վրա, Լևոն Քոչարյանը որևէ հետաքրքրություն չի ցուցաբերեց մասնակցելու դրան։ Ընդ որում, ըստ Հակոբյանի, այն լավ հարթակ էր, որպեսզի 50 երկրի ավելի քան 150 պատվիրակների մոտ Քոչարյան կրտսերը բարձրաձայներ գերիների հարցը և այլ խնդիրների մասին խոսեր:
Պատգամավորի խոսքով՝ ընդդիմադիր պատգամավորները խուսափում են միջազգային հարթակներում ելույթ ունենալ ի նպաստ Հայաստանի, և դրա համար կա կոնկրետ պատճառ․ «Մեր ընդդիմադիր գործիչները կոմպլեքս ունեն միասն գործելու։ Կարող եմ ենթադրել, որ իրենք որտեղից կառավարվում են, այնտեղ դա ընկալելի չէ, սակայն առանձին պատգամավորների հետ քննարկումների ու գործողումների ժամանակ նկատում եմ որոշ անձանց կողմից ևս այս հարցի շուրջ միակարծիք լինելը»։
Վերջինս նաև չի բացառում, ո, Քոչարյանը, Ադրբեջանում պահվող հայ գերիներին վերաբերող հուզական հարցը բարձրաձայնելով, փորձում է հասարակությանը շեղել իր ընտանիքի հետ կապված քրեական գործերից:
Հակոբյանը վստահեցնում է, որ հայ գերիներին ու պահվող անձանց հայրենիք վերադարձնելու համար արվում է ամեն ինչ, և նրանց վերաբերող հարցերը շահարկելը բարոյական չէ․ «Գերիների վերադարձի հարցը նուրբ թեմա ,է չարժի անոնս անել, սա եղանակի տեսություն չէ, որ անոնս անենք անցնենք առաջ, ոչ շահարկել, ոչ էլ գլուխ գովանք, մինչև չունենք վերջնական արդյունք, դրա համար թե բացասական թե դրական խոսույթը կարող է ի նպաստ չլինել մեր հայրենակիցների վերադարձի հետ կապված»։
