Աֆղանստանում ՄԱԿ-ի առաքելությունը երեքշաբթի հայտնել է, որ իշխող թալիբները երեք տարի առաջ իշխանությունը զավթելուց հետո 256 անգամ կամայականորեն ձերբակալել են լրագրողների և երկրի իշխանություններին կոչ են արել պաշտպանել լրատվամիջոցները, հայտնում է Reuters գործակալությունը։
Աֆղանստանում լրագրողները «բարդ պայմաններում» են աշխատել, նշվում է ՄԱԿ-ի առաքելության (UNSAMA) և ՄԱԿ-ի Մարդու իրավունքների գրասենյակի հայտարարության մեջ:
«Նրանք հաճախ բախվում են անհասկանալի կանոնների, թե ինչ կարող են և ինչ չեն կարող հաղորդել, և ենթարկվում են ահաբեկման և կամայական կալանավորման վտանգի՝ ենթադրյալ քննադատության համար»,-հայտարարել է ՄԱԿ-ի հատուկ բանագնաց Ռոզա Օտունբաևան:
«Մենք դե ֆակտո իշխանություններին կոչ ենք անում ապահովել իրենց խնդիրները կատարող բոլոր լրագրողների և լրատվամիջոցների աշխատողների պաշտպանությունը, և լիովին գիտակցել լրատվամիջոցներում կանանց աշխատանքի կարևորությունը»,-հյավելել է նա:
Աֆղանստանի արտգործնախարարությունը հայտարարել է, որ ձերբակալված լրագրողների թիվն «ուռճացված է», և ձերբակալությունները կատարվել են օրենքով սահմանված կարգով։
Երկրի իշխանությունները միաժամանակ հայտարարել են, որ ՄԱԿ-ի զեկույցը «հեռու է իրականությունից» և պնդել, որ անվտանգության ուժերն աշխատում են լրագրողներին պաշտպանելու համար:
Աֆղանստանի կառավարությունն, իր հերթին, հայտարարել է, որ կանայք շարունակում են աշխատել լրատվամիջոցներում՝ «ենթարկվելով որոշակի պայմանների՝ կրոնական բարոյական չափանիշների պահպանման առնչությամբ», մասնավորապես՝ ծածկում դեմքն ու տղամարդկանցից առանձին աշխատում:
