«Այդ հրապարակումների հիմնական թեզն այն է, որ Հայաստանին կամ հենց ինձ ներքաղաքական նկատառումներով պետք է պատերազմ սկսել Ադրբեջանի դեմ, մինչդեռ ցանկացած դիտորդ կարող է տեսնել, որ մեզ և կոնկրետ ինձ ձեռնտու է, որ տարածաշրջանում իրադրությունը լինի կայուն»։ Այս մասին այսօր՝ դեկտեմբերի 4-ին կառավարության հարցուպատասխանի ժամանակ ասաց Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը՝ պատասխանելով «Քաղաքացիական պայմանագիր» խմբակցության պատգամավոր Տիգրան Պարսիլյանի հարցին այն մասին, թե ի՞նչ նպատակ են հետապնդում ադրբեջանական մամուլում տարածվող այն կեղծ լուրերն այն մասին, որ Հայաստանն Ադրբեջանի դեմ պատերազմի է պատրաստվում։
«Ձեր մատնանշած հրապարակումները վկայում են այն մասին, որ կան ուժեր, որոնք շահագրգռված են տարածաշրջանում իրավիճակն ապակայունացնելով։ Մեր արձագանքը պետք է լինի հետևյալը. նախ մենք պետք է չտրվենք սադրանքներին, հետո էլ պետք է անընդհատ պարզաբանենք մեր դիրքորոշումը։ Նախ մենք Ադրբեջանի վրա հարձակվելու որևէ պատճառ չունենք, որովհետև մենք քաղաքական մակարդակում ևս մի իրավական քայլ ենք արել, և փոխհադարձաբար ճանաչել ենք միմյանց տարածքային ամբողջականությունը։ Նույնիսկ մեր ազգային ժողովը վավերացրել է սահմանազատման հանձնաժողովների համատեղ աշխատանքի կանոնակարգը, և մենք պետք է առաջիկայում դելիմիտացիայի գործընթաց սկսենք հաջորդ հատվածում։ Ես բացառում եմ Հայաստանի կողմից որևէ գործողություն, որը նպատակաուղղված կլինի տարածաշրջանում իրադրությունն ապակայունացնելուն։ Մեր երկրի ավելի քան 200 քառակուսի կիլոմետր օկուպացված է, բայց մենք հայտարարում ենք, որ այդ տարածքների հարցը ռազմական ճանապարհով լուծելու խնդիր մեր օրակարգում չկա և չի լինելու»,–հավելեց Փաշինյանը։
Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը հույս հայտնեց, որ կակտիվացնեն «Խաղաղության պայմանագիր» նախագծի շուրջ աշխատանքները, որովհետև աշխատանքների 90 տոկոսն արդեն արված է, և մնում է ստորագրել պայմանագիրը։
