«Հիմնական թեզն այն է, որ Հայաստանին կամ անձամբ ինձ ներքաղաքական նկատառումներով պետք է պատերազմ սկսել Ադրբեջանի դեմ, մինչդեռ ցանկացած շատ թե քիչ որակավորված կամ նույնիսկ չորակավորված դիտորդը կարող է տեսնել, որ ընդհակառակը՝ հենց ներքաղաքական նկատառումներով մեզ՝ կառավարող թիմին, և կոնկրետ ինձ, ձեռնտու է, որպեսզի տարածաշրջանում իրադրությունը լինի կայուն»:
Այդ մասին Ազգային ժողով-Կառավարություն հարցուպատասխանի ժամանակ հայտարարեց վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը՝ անդրադառնալով ադրբեջանական մամուլում տեղ գտած այն հրապարակումներին, ըստ որի՝ ՀՀ-ն նոր պատերազմ է նախապատրաստում Ադրբեջանի դեմ:
«Հրապարակումները ցույց են տալիս, որ կան ուժեր, որոնք շահագրգռված են տարածաշրջանում իրադրությունն ապակայունացնելով: Մեր արձագանքը պետք է լինի հետևյալը՝ չտրվել որևէ սադրանքի և անհոգնել պարզաբանել մեր դիրքորոշումը: Նախ մենք Ադրբեջանի վրա հարձակվելու որևէ պատճառ չունենք, որովհետև, ըստ էության, մենք քաղաքական մակարդակում ինչ-որ առումով նաև ևս մի իրավական քայլ ենք արել և փոխադարձաբար ճանաչել ենք միմյանց տարածքային ամբողջականությունն Ալմա Աթայի հռչակագրի հիման վրա, և նույնիսկ մեր ԱԺ-ն վավերացրել է սահմանազատման հանձնաժողովների համատեղ աշխատանքի կանոնակարգը, և առաջիկայում մենք պետք է դելիմիտացիայի պրոցես սկսենք փոխադարձ համաձայնությամբ հաջորդ հատվածում:
Այս առումով ուզում եմ ընդգծել, որ բացառում եմ ուղղակի որևէ գործողություն ՀՀ-ի կողմից, որը նպատակամղված կլինի տարածաշրջանում իրադրությունն ապակայունացնելուն»,- ասաց նա:
Այս համատեքստում Փաշինյանը նաև ընդգծեց՝ ՀՀ տարածքից ավելի քան 200 քառակուսի կիլոմետր տարածք օկուպացված է, բայց հայկական կողմը հայտարարում է, որ այդ տարածքների հարցը ռազմական ճանապարհով լուծելու խնդիր օրակարգում չկա, քանի որ սահմանազատման հանձնաժողովների կանոնակարգի հաստատումը և սահմանազատման գործընթացը հնարավորություն են տալիս այդ բոլոր հարցերը լուծել բանակցային, իրավական հիմքի վրա:
«Մենք հավատարիմ ենք խաղաղության օրակարգին, և ՀՀ-ն ռազմական խնդիրներ այդ առումով որևէ հարևանի նկատմամբ չունի, և մենք բոլոր հարևանների տարածքային ամբողջականությունը և ինքնիշխանությունը ճանաչել ենք և ճանաչում ենք:
Ես հույս ունեմ, որ մենք կակտիվացնենք խաղաղության պայմանագրի նախագծի շուրջ աշխատանքները, որովհետև աշխատանքի, ըստ էության, 90 տոկոսն արված է, մնում է վերջին ջանքը գործադրել և ստորագրել խաղաղության պայմանագիր»,- ասաց նա և, եզրափակելով ասաց՝ իր գնահատականն այն է, որ տարածաշրջանում, Հայաստան-Ադրբեջան հարաբերություններում էսկալացիայի որևէ հիմք չկա:
