Սիրիայում ապրող հայերի շրջանում տիրում է զուսպ և սպասողական վիճակ. ինչպես տեղացիներն, այնպես էլ հայերը, հետևում են իրավիճակի հետագա զարգացումներին: 

«Արմենպրես»-ի հետ զրույցում այս մասին հայտնեց Սիրիայի խորհրդարանի հայազգի պատգամավոր Մարիա Գաբրիելյանն՝ անդրադառնալով զինված ընդդիմության կողմից երկրի մայրաքաղաք Դամասկոսի գրավումից հետո տիրող իրավիճակին, տեղի ունեցող քաղաքական զարգացումներին և Սիրիայի հետագա ճակատագրին:

‹‹Վաղ առավոտյան ժամերից հաղթանակի տոնական մթնոլորտ է. կրակոցներ, ուրախության վանկարկումներ››,- հայտնեց Մարիա Գաբրիելյանը՝ նկարագրելով ներկա իրավիճակը:

Անդրադառնալով հայերի շրջանում տիրող տրամադրություններին՝ Սիրիայի խորհրդարանի հայազգի պատգամավորը նշեց, որ բոլորի մոտ սպասողական վիճակ է:

‹‹Հայերն, ինչպես տեղացիները, հետևում են իրավիճակի զարգացումներին››,-ասաց Մարիա Գաբրիելյանը:

Պատասխանելով հարցին, թե տեղացիներն ուրա՞խ են՝ իմանալով, որ Սիրիայի նախագահ Բաշար Ասադը հեռացել է իշխանությունից՝ պատգամավորը նկատեց. ‹‹Այո, նրանք այլընտրանք չունեն. նախօրեին Ասադին էին փառաբանում, իսկ այսօր՝ հեղափոխությունը››:

Այդուհանդերձ, պատգամավորը չկարողացավ տեղեկություններ հաղորդել Բաշար Ասադի և վերջինիս ընտանիքի գտնվելու վայրի և ճակատագրի մասին:

‹‹Այս պահին Սիրիայի վարչապետ Մուհամեդ Ալ-Ջալալին հանդիպում է անցկացնում «Հայաթ Թահրիր ալ-Շամ» զինված խմբավորման հրամանատար Աբու Մուհամմեդ ալ-Ջուլանիի հետ, որպեսզի իշխանության հանձնում կատարի››,-նշեց հայազգի պատգամավորը՝ հավելելով, որ դեռևս այլ հստակություն չկա:

Պատգամավորի բնորոշմամբ՝ Սիրիայի այլ հատվածներում բնակվող հայերի շրջանում ևս տիրում է զուսպ ու սպասողական վիճակ:

Անդրադառնալով երկրում տիրող քաղաքական իրադրությանը՝ Մարիա Գաբրիելյանը տեղեկացրեց, որ այժմ իշխանության անցում է տեղի ունենում ժամանակավոր կառավարությանը:

‹‹Շարունակվում է իրականացվել իշխանության անցումը՝ լիարժեք գործադիր լիազորություններով անցումային կառավարությանը››,- եզրափակեց Սիրիայի խորհրդարանի հայազգի պատգամավոր Մարիա Գաբրիելյանը:
