Եվրամիությունը նշել է Սիրիայի նկատմամբ պատժամիջոցները չեղարկելու պայմանները

Եվրամիությունը չի չեղարկի Սիրիայի նկատմամբ պատժամիջոցները, քանի դեռ երկրի նոր իշխանությունները չեն ապահովել փոքրամասնությունների և կանանց իրավունքների պաշտպանությունը կրոնական ծայրահեղականությունը մերժող մեկ կառավարության շրջանակում, ասել է ԵՄ դիվանագիտության ղեկավար Քայա Կալլասը:
Բրյուսելում երկուշաբթի ԵՄ արտգործնախարարների հանդիպմանը, որի օրակարգում է Սիրիան, չի քննարկվի երկրին ֆինանսական աջակցության ընդլայնման հարցը, և երկիրը պետք է բավարարվի նրանով, ինչ արդեն տրամադրում է ԵՄ-ն ՄԱԿ-ի գործակալությունների միջոցով, հայտարարել է Կալլասը:
«Հարցերից մեկն այն է, թե արդյոք մենք կարող ենք ապագայում դիտարկել պատժամիջոցների ռեժիմի հարմարեցման հնարավորությունը։ Բայց դա ակնհայտորեն ոչ թե այսօրվա, այլ ավելի շուտ ապագայի հարց է, երբ տեսնում ենք, որ քայլերը ճիշտ ուղղությամբ են ընթանում»,-ասել է Կալլասը Reuters-ին տված հարցազրույցում։
Ըստ Կալլասի՝ Եվրամիությունն արդեն Սիրիային մարդասիրական օգնության ամենամեծ դոնորն է։
«Մենք պետք է քննարկենք, թե ավելին ինչ կարող ենք անել: Բայց, ինչպես արդեն ասացի, դա դատարկ հնչյուն լինել չի կարող։ Սիրիային սպասվում է հուսադրող, բայց անորոշ ապագա»,-նշել է Մերձավոր Արևելք իր նոր պաշտոնում առաջին այցը կատարած Կալլասը:
«Սիրիայի նոր ժամանակավոր ղեկավարները դրական ազդանշաններ տվեցին, բայց դա բավարար չէր։ Այն, ինչին բոլորը նայում են, իհարկե, նաև կանանց և աղջիկների նկատմամբ վերաբերմունքն է, որը ցույց է տալիս հասարակությանը և ինչպես է այն կառուցված, ինչպես են կառուցված ինստիտուտները, որպեսզի լինի բոլորի մասին հոգ տանող կառավարություն»,- հավելել է նա:
