Աֆղանստանցի թալիբների ուժերը հարվածել են հարեւան Պակիստանի «մի քանի կետերի», շաբաթ տեղեկացրել է Աֆղանստանի ՊՆ-ն, այն բանից մի քանի օր հետո, երբ  պակիստանյան ինքնաթիռները ռմբակոծել էին Աֆղանստանի տարածքը, տեղեկացրել է Reuters-ը։

Աֆղանստանի պաշտպանության նախարարության հայտարարությունում չի նշվել Պակիստանի անունը, սակայն ասվում է, որ հարվածներն իրականացվել են «հիպոթետիկ գծից այն կողմ», արտահայտություն, որն օգտագործվում է աֆղան պաշտոնյաների կողմից Պակիստանի հետ սահմանին անդրադառնալու համար, որը նրանք երկար ժամանակ վիճարկում են:

«Հիպոթետիկ գծից այն կողմ գտնվող մի քանի կետեր, որոնք ծառայում էին որպես կենտրոններ եւ թաքստոցներ չարամիտ տարրերի եւ նրանց աջակիցների համար, որոնք կազմակերպում եւ համակարգում էին հարձակումներն Աֆղանստանում, դարձան պատասխան հարվածի թիրախ երկրի հարավարեւելյան ուղղությամբ»,- նշվել է նախարարության հայտարարությունում։

Հարցին, թե արդյոք հայտարարությունը վերաբերում է Պակիստանին, նախարարության խոսնակ Էնայաթուլլա Խովարազմին ասել է. «Մենք սա չենք համարում Պակիստանի տարածք, ուստի չենք կարող հաստատել, բայց այդ տարածքը եղել է հիպոթետիկ գծի մյուս կողմում»:

Աֆղանստանը տասնամյակներ շարունակ չի ճանաչում այն ​​սահմանը, որը հայտնի է որպես Դյուրանդի գիծ, ​​որը գծվել է բրիտանական գաղութային իշխանությունների կողմից 19-րդ դարում ցեղային գոտու միջով, որը գտնվում է ներկայիս Աֆղանստանի եւ Պակիստանի միջեւ:
