Պաշտոնից հեռացող ԱՄՆ նախագահ Ջո Բայդենը ափսոսում է, որ դուրս եկավ նախագահական մրցապայքարից և կարծում է, որ ինքը կհաղթեր Դոնալդ Թրամփին անցած ամսվա ընտրություններում, չնայած հարցումների բացասական արդյունքներին, ասել են Սպիտակ տան աղբյուրները։
Հաղորդվում է, որ ԱՄՆ նախագահը նաև ասել է, որ սխալ է թույլ տվել՝ Մերիկ Գարլենդին գլխավոր դատախազ ընտրելով, ինչի մասին վկայում է այն, որ Գարլենդը՝ ԱՄՆ վերաքննիչ դատարանի նախկին դատավորը, չէր շտապում Դոնալդ Թրամփին պատասխանատվության ենթարկել 2021 թվականի հունվարի 6-ի ապստամբության մեջ ունեցած դերի համար, այն ժամանակ նա ղեկավարում էր արդարադատության նախարարությունը, որն ագրեսիվորեն հետապնդում էր Բայդենի որդուն՝ Հանթերին:
Քանի որ նրա նախագահության ժամկետին մնացել է ընդամենը երեք շաբաթ, ուստի Բայդենի տխուր մտորումները հրապարակվել են Washington Post-ի հոդվածում: Այդ մտորումներում հստակ նշաններ կան այն մասին, որ, իր կարծիքով, ինքը սխալ է թույլ տվել՝ հանելով իր թեկնածությունը հուլիսին՝ Սպիտակ տան իր մրցակցի՝ Թրամփի դեմ անհաջող բանավեճից հետո, գրում է The Guardian-ը։
ԱՄՆ նախագահը հրաժարվեց կրկին առաջադրվել և նրան որպես դեմոկրատ թեկնածու փոխարինեց ԱՄՆ փոխնախագահ Քամալա Հարիսը՝ գործընկեր դեմոկրատների ճնշումներից հետո:
Հարիսի առաջադրումը ոգևորության աճ առաջացրեց և բարելավեց հարցումները, բայց ի վերջո ավարտվեց ընտրողների կոլեգիայի վճռորոշ պարտությամբ և հանրապետական Դոնալդ Թրամփի հաղթանակով:
