Գործարար Կարեն Հակոբյանի փաստաբանական խումբն ուշագրավ հայտարարություն տարածեց 2024 թվականի դեկտեմբերի 30-ին: Փաստորեն Կարեն Հակոբյանի փաստաբանները նոյեմբերի 21-ին բողոքարկելով կալանքի երկարաձգման որոշումը, հստակ շարադրելով դրա անթույլատրելիությունը, մինչ օրս սպասում են Վերաքննիչ դատարանի դիրքորոշմանը: Վերաքննիչ դատարանը երկու անգամ հետաձգել է որոշման կայացումը: Մասնավորապես երկրորդ անգամ դեկտեմբերի 30-ին Դատարանը կրկին հետաձգեց որոշման կայացումը, այն նշանակելով հունվարի 9-ին բանավոր ընթացակարգով: Առավել ուշագրավ է, որ կոնկրետ այս գործով 2024 թվականի սեպտեմբերի 20-ից ներկայացվել էին ևս թվով երեք կալանքի միջնորդություններ, սակայն 2024 թվականի դեկտեմբերի 20-ից այլևս որևէ այլ անձ բացի Կարեն Հակոբյանից կալանավորված չէ: Այս իրավիճակում անհասկանալի է ինչն է պատճառը, որ միայն հենց գործարար Կ. Հակոբյանն է շարունակում մնալ կալանավորված, երբ վերջինիս մեղադրանքը համեմատությամբ այլ մեղադրյալների էականորեն ավելի նվազ է: Ըստ որոշ տեղեկությունների նախապատրաստվում է նաև Եվրոպական դատարան գանգատի ներկայացումը, որում հստակ շարադրվելու են Կարեն Հակոբյանի նկատմամբ տարբերակված մոտեցումների և դատավարական մի շարք խախտումների հիմքերը:

Հենց նման իրավիճակներում է, որ և մասնագետները և Եվրոպական դատարանը կալանքը գնահատում են որպես` պատիժ, ինչը կոպտագույն իրավունքի խախտում է:
