МИД Ирана подтвердил, что договор с РФ будет включать вопросы обороны

Договор о всеобъемлющем стратегическом партнерстве между Россией и Ираном будет касаться в том числе вопросов обороны и безопасности. Об этом сообщил официальный представитель МИД исламской республики Эсмаил Багаи.
«Соглашение о сотрудничестве между Ираном и Россией имеет различные аспекты. Его важную часть составляют вопросы торговли и экономики, энергетики, а также обороны и безопасности. Это соглашение обновит и дополнит существующий договор [об основах взаимоотношений и принципах сотрудничества между Москвой и Тегераном] от 2001 года», - сказал дипломат на еженедельном брифинге.
Как отметил Багаи, «за последние 20-30 лет Иран и Россия существенно расширили объемы сотрудничества, поэтому возникла необходимость обновить документ».
Ранее посол исламской республики в РФ Казем Джалали сообщил, что российско-иранский договор будет подписан 17 января 2025 года в Москве в ходе переговоров президентов двух стран.
