Լոս Անջելեսում մոլեգնող հրդեհների պատճառով բազմաթիվ հայ ընտանիքներ են տարհանվել: Այս մասին NEWS.am-ի հետ զրույցում պատմեց Կարինե Փանոսյանը, ում ընտանիքը եւս տարհանվել է հրդեհի պատճառով:

«Անմիջապես մեր տան հարևանությամբ, մոտավորապես կես կիլոմետր հարևանությամբ սկսվում է Իթոն կանյոնը, որում էլ բռնկվել է հրդեհներից մեկի օջախը:  Ընդամենը 15-20 րոպեի ընթացքում կրակը սկսվելուց հետո մեզ տեղահանեցին, այսինքն այնքան արագ էր տարածվում կրակը, փոթորկի պատճառով քամու արագությունը այդ պահին մոտ 50 կմ ժամ էր, կրակը շատ արագ տարածվում էր, և քանի որ չորային եղանակ է, ձմեռ է, չոր ճյուղեր, թփեր և այլն, շատ արագ բլուրը բռնկվեց և մեզ առավելագույնը 30 րոպե հետո տարհանեցին։ Թվում է, թե այդքան շատ չի ծուխը, դու զգում ես անընդհատ այդ ծխի հոտը, բայց դեմքս այտուցված է,  աչքերս բորբոքվել են, դեմքիս հյուրանոցում հայելու մեջ նայեցի, տեսա, որ մաշկիս վրա մի բարակ շերտով, բայց մոխրի հետքեր են, ընդամենը 30 վայրկյան ենք փողոցում անցկացրել, ընդամենը տնից դուրս ենք եկել, իրերը լցրել ենք մեքենան, տեղափոխվել ենք տներից հյուրանոցներ»,- պատմեց նա։

Հարցին, թե այս պահին տուժածներ կան արդյոք հայերի շրջանու, նա ասաց. «Այս պահին ընդամենը մի քանի վայրկյան առաջ լսած պաշտոնական տեղեկություններ հաղորդեմ, 80 000 տեղահանված մարդ կա, ամբողջ Լոս Անջելես քաղաքի, այսինքն մեգապոլիսի տարածքում, բնականաբար բազմաթիվ հայեր, ամեն դեպքում մեր բարեկամները, հարևանները տարհանված են:  Երկրորդ քույրս, որը այլ քաղաքում է ապրում, նույնպես քիչ առաջ տեղեկացրեց, որ իրենց էլ են նախապատրաստել տարհանվելու։ Ընդամենը երկու զոհի մասին հայտարարվեց քիչ առաջ, ես չգիտեմ ովքեր են զոհերը, որևէ պաշտոնական հայտարարություն չկա, թե ովքեր են նրանք և մոտավորապես 7500 ակռ այրվող տարածքի մասին են խոսում։ Քիչ առաջ նաև լրատվությամբ հաղորդում էին, որ քամին օվկիանոսի ափին ուժգնանալու է երեկոյան, այսինքն Սանտա Մոնիկա քաղաքն է կարծես թե վտանգի տակ, ամեն դեպքում չորս օջախները կրակի շատ արագ տարածվում են և չնայած որ ամպամած չի, բայց թվում է, թե շատ ամպամած եղանակ է, կիսամթնշաղ, այսպես կարելի է ասել, իսկ թե ինչ կլինի հետո չգիտենք, մենք շարունակում ենք մնալ հյուրանոցում»:
