Объем застрахованного ущерба от пожаров в Лос-Анджелесе может превысить $20 млрд, а совокупный ущерб может составить $50 млрд, полагают аналитики банка JPMorgan Chase & Co.
Днем ранее они оценивали размер страховых выплат за уничтоженное в пожарах имущество в $10 млрд.
«Ожидания экономических потерь от пожаров удвоились по сравнению со вчерашней оценкой и составляют около $50 млрд, и мы полагаем, что убытки, подлежащие возмещению, могут превысить $20 млрд. Эта оценка может вырасти, если пожары не удастся сдержать", - цитирует заявление банка Financial Times.
Более 100 тыс. жителей Лос-Анджелеса были эвакуированы, огонь угрожает порядка 15 тыс. домов. В пожарах сгорели виллы многих американских знаменитостей.
Калифорния - один из самых дорогих рынков недвижимости в США. Кроме того, штат испытывает самую острую нехватку предложения жилья в стране, отметил Джей Любик из аналитической компании CoStar. Пожары могут привести к резкому росту цен на недвижимость в регионе, в том числе стоимость аренды может подскочить на 8-12%, полагает эксперт.
