Հրշեջ ծառայությունները պարզում են, թե արդյոք Edison International կոմունալ ընկերության սարքավորումները պատճառ են հանդիսացել Հարավային Կալիֆոռնիայի Սան Ֆերնանդո հովտի մոտակայքում գտնվող Հերստ քաղաքում բռնկված հրդեհի մեջ: Այս մասին գրում Է Bloomberg-ը։
Ընկերության տվյալներով՝ կոտրված մետաղալարը հայտնաբերվել է աշտարակի վրա, որը կապված է Eagle Rock Sylmar 220 կՎ էլեկտրահաղորդման գծի հետ: Սակայն կազմակերպությունում հայտարարել են, որ չգիտեն՝ վնասը տեղի է ունեցել հրդեհից առաջ, թե հետո:
Առայժմ ոչ մի հրշեջ վարչություն չի հստակեցնում, որ հրդեհն առաջացել է Edison ընկերության էլեկտրատեխնիկական սարքավորումների պատճառով, նշում է հրատարակությունը:
Ավելի վաղ Լոս Անջելեսի ոստիկանությունը մի տղամարդու էր ձերբակալել։ Սակայն հարցաքննություն և քննչական գործողություններ իրականացնելուց հետո որոշել է, որ հրկիզման կասկածանքով տղամարդուն ձերբակալելու հիմքեր չկան:
Կալիֆոռնիայում անտառային հրդեհները շարունակվում են հունվարի 7-ից: Աղետն ընդգրկել է Լոս Անջելեսի շրջանները։ Վերջին տվյալներով՝ զոհերի թիվը հասել է 16-ի, 200 հազար բնակիչ հայտնվել է տարհանման ենթակա գոտում։ Հազարավոր անշարժ գույք է ոչնչացվել, այդ թվում՝ հոլիվուդյան որոշ աստղերի տներ։
Հունվարի 11-ին Կալիֆոռնիայի Լոս Անջելես շրջանում մոլեգնող տորնադո են տեսել մադրիկ: Կրակոտ տորնադոն հազվագյուտ երևույթ է կրակի, մոխրի և ծխի պտտվող սյունակի տեսքով, որը ստեղծվում է կրակի և ուժեղ քամիների կողմից:
