Հունվարի 13-ին Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Գարեգին Երկրորդ Ծայրագույն Պատրիարք և Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսը Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածնում ընդունեց «Բոյա» գիտահետազոտական կենտրոնի (Պեկին) պատվավոր նախագահ Րուի-ցի Լիույի գլխավորած պատվիրակությանը։

Հյուրերն Ամենայն Հայոց Հայրապետին ներկայացրեցին կենտրոնի ծրագրերը և գործունեությունը, ինչպես նաև Հայաստան այցի նպատակը` ուսումնասիրել հայկական մշակույթը, ավանդույթները, Հայ Եկեղեցու պատմությունն ու գործունեությունը։

Այնուհետև Նորին Սրբությունն իր գնահատանքը բերեց կենտրոնի ներկայացուցիչներին Հայաստանում նմանօրինակ նախաձեռնության իրականացման համար։ Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսն անդրադարձ կատարեց Սուրբ Էջմիածնի առաքելությանը հայ ժողովրդի կյանքում` մասնավորապես ընդգծելով, քրիստոնեական հավատքի կարևոր դերակատարությունն ազգային ինքնության, հոգևոր-մշակութային ժառանգության կերտման, ինչպես և ազգապահպանության գործում։

Զրույցի ընթացքում Նորին Սրբությունը գոհունակությամբ անդրադարձավ նաև հայ-չինական պատմական առնչակցություններին և Չինաստանում վերջին շրջանում ձևավորված փոքրաթիվ հայ համայնքի կյանքին՝ հույս հայտնելով, որ «Բոյա» գիտահետազոտական կենտրոնի նախաձեռնությունը կնպաստի երկու ժողովուրդների փոխճանաչողության խորացմանը և կապերի առավել սերտացմանը:

Իր հերթին տիար Րուի-ցի Լիուն Հայոց Հայրապետին տեղեկություններ փոխանցեց Արևմտյան Հայաստանում և Թբիլիսիում արդեն իսկ իրականացված հայկական հոգևոր-մշակութային ժառանգության ուսումնասիրությունների և ապագայի ծրագրերի մասին։
