Հայ Առաքելական Եկեղեցին ամեն տարի փետրվարի 14-ին՝ Քրիստոսի Սուրբ Ծննդյան օրվանից 40 օր հետո, նշում է քառասուն օրական մանուկ Հիսուսին տաճարին ընծայաբերելու տոնը՝ Տյառնընդառաջը։

Տրնդեզ, Տեառնընդառաջ, Տանդառեջ, Տնդալեշ, Տառինջ-տառինջ, Դառդառանջ, Դոռոնջ, Մելետ և բազմաթիվ այլ անուններով հայտնի տոնը հայ ժողովուրդը նշում է հազարամյակներ շարունակ․ գրում է qahana.am-ը։

Տոնի քրիստոնեական խորհուրդը։ Տյառնընդառաջի տոնը Տիրոջն ընդառաջ գնալու հրավեր է բոլորին։ «Տյառնընդառաջ» անվանումը ստուգաբանվում է քրիստոնեական ավանդությամբ:

Համաձայն նախնյաց օրենքի` ծննդաբերած կինը քառասուն օրական անդրանիկ զավակին պիտի տաներ տաճար, Աստծուն ընծաներ մատուցեր և օրհնություն ստանար: Հայ Առաքելական Եկեղեցու հաստատած կանոնների համաձայն, ութ օրականում մկրտում են մանկանը, իսկ 40 օրականում մայրը երեխայի հետ գալիս է տաճար, քահանան երեխային ընծայում է Աստծուն, իսկ մորը՝ մաքրագործում: Մարիամը քառասուն օրական Հիսուսին տանում է տաճար: Այստեղ էր Սիմեոն անունով բարեպաշտ ծերունին, ով Աստծուց հրաման էր ստացել մահ չտեսնել, մինչև տեսներ աշխարհի ու մարդկության Փրկչին: Սուրբ Հոգով առաջնորդվելով՝ նա ճանաչում է Փրկչին և ընդառաջ է գալիս Հիսուս մանուկին: Այստեղից էլ «Տիրոջն ընդառաջ» արտահայտությունը:

Տոնի ժողովրդական ավանդությունը։ Ըստ ժողովրդական ավանդության՝ Տյառնընդառաջի հիմնական ծեսը խարույկ վառելն էր և այդ խարույկի շուրջ տոնակատարությունը: Խարույկը վառում էին հիմնականում ցորենի հասկերից: Կրակի վառվելու ընթացքում կանայք սկուտեղի վրա բերում էին Տյառնընդառաջի տոնական կերակրատեսակները` փոխինձը, չամիչը, աղանձը, ընկույզը, բոված սիսեռը և պտտեցնում կրակի շուրջը, մի մասը բաժանում էին, մյուս մասը ներս տանում` երեկոյան խնջույքի համար: Նրանք պտտվում էին խարույկի շուրջը, և երբ բոցը ցածրանում էր, սկսում էին կրակի վրայով թռչել: Եթե կրակի վրայով ցատկելիս վառվում է հարսի զգեստի փեշը`ընդամենն անզգուշոթյուն է, իսկ եթե ընդհանրապես չեք հասցրել կրակ վառել, ցատկել վրայով, պետք չէ նեղսրտել և սնոտիապաշտությամբ տառապել մինչև հաջորդ Տյառնընդառաջի տոնը:

Նախկինում խարույկի ծխի ուղղությամբ կատարել են գուշակություններ. հետևելով ծխի ուղղությանը՝ որոշել են տարվա բերքառատությունը (եթե ծուխը թեքվել է հարավ կամ արևելք, ակնկալել են առատ բերք, իսկ եթե թեքվել է հյուսիս կամ արևմուտք` համարել են, որ երաշտ կլինի): Ծխի ուղղությամբ փորձել են գուշակել, թե որ կողմից է գալու հարսնացուն կամ փեսացուն: Տրնդեզի մոմերով կամ ջահերով հատուկ պար է եղել նորապսակների համար: Յոթ ամուսնական զույգեր մոմերով կամ ջահերով շրջապատել են պարող նորապսակներին` չարքերից պաշտպանելու համար, և նրանք պարել են այդ շրջանակի մեջ:

Հետաքրքիր սովորություն է եղել Մուսա լեռան շրջանի հայության շրջանում, որի մնացուկներն այժմ էլ կարելի է գտնել գյուղերում՝ մեծահասակների հիշողության մեջ, երբ տանտիկինը, բացելով դուռ ու լուսամուտ, քշում էր ձմեռ-շվոտը («շվոտ»-ը փետրվար ամսի արաբերեն բառի` շուբաթի աղավաղված ձևն է) և ներս հրավիրում գարուն-մարտը:
