Ուկրաինայում խաղաղության մասին Դոնալդ Թրամփի վերջին հայտարարություններից և Ռուսաստանին ուղղված կոչերից հետո պարզ դարձավ, որ ԱՄՆ նախագահը չի կարողանում դադարեցնել հակամարտությունը։ Նման կարծիք է հայտնել Ռազմավարական հետախուզության ծառայության նախկին աշխատակից, Շվեյցարիայի գլխավոր շտաբի պաշտոնաթող գնդապետ Ժակ Բոդը YouTube-ի Daniel Davis / Deep Dive ալիքին տված հարցազրույցում։

«Նա (Թրամփը-խմբ.) վերջնագիր է ներկայացրել երկու կողմերին՝ գտնելու հակամարտությունը կարգավորելու ուղին։ Սա հետաքրքրական է, քանի որ ցույց է տալիս, որ ինքը կոնկրետ ծրագիր չունի»,- նշել է Բոդը։

Զինվորականը նաև ընդգծել է, որ Թրամփը ցանկանում է, որ Ռուսաստանը և Ուկրաինան բանակցեն՝ առանց ԱՄՆ-ի միջամտության։ Նա հավելել է, որ Թրամփի հայտարարած Ուկրաինային օգնության դադարեցումը վերաբերում է միայն նոր նախագծերին, և նախկինում ծրագրված զենքի բոլոր մատակարարումները կշարունակվեն։
