Վաշինգտոնի երկնքում կործանված ինքնաթիռում 8 գեղասահորդներ են եղել, հայտնում է Channel 2 NOW-ը։
ԶԼՄ-ների տեղեկություններով՝ օդանավում եղել են գեղասահորդներ Սպենսեր Լեյնը, Ջիննա Հանը, Ֆրանկո Ապարիսիոն, Էվերլին և Ալիդիա Լիվինգստոնները, Շոն Քեյը, Անժելա Յանգը և Էդվարդ Չժոուն:
Ավելի վաղ հայտնել էինք, որ ըստ ռուսական ԶԼՄ-ների, ինքնաթիռում եղել են նաև գեղասահքի 1994 թվականի աշխարհի չեմպիոններ Եվգենիա Շիշկովան և Վադիմ Նաումովը, ինչպես նաև զուգասահքի ԽՍՀՄ առաջնության բրոնզե մեդալակիր Իննա Վոլյանսկայան. նրանք զբաղվում էին մարզչական գործունեությամբ: ԱՄՆ Գեղասահքի ասոցիացիան ՌԻԱ Նովոստիին հաստատել է, որ ինքնաթիռում եղել են մի քանի գեղասահորդներ:
Հիշեցնենք, ժամեր առաջ ամերիկյան ուղևորատար ինքնաթիռը և ԱՄՆ Ցամաքային զորքերի ուղղաթիռը բախվել են Ռոնալդ Ռեյգանի անվան օդանավակայանի երկնքում՝ Վաշինգտոնից 10-15 րոպե հեռավորության վրա: Ինքնաթիռն իրականացնում էր American Airlines ավիաընկերության չվերթը Կանզաս նահանգից. ինքնաթիռում եղել է 60 ուղևոր և անձնակազմի 4 անդամ: Ինքնաթիռը երկու մասի է բաժանվել և ընկել Պոտոմակ գետը։ Ոչ ոք չի փրկվել։
