Իսրայելի իշխանություններն իրենց քաղաքացիներին առաջարկում են տանիքներին տեղադրել արևային վահանակներ՝ ինքնուրույն էլեկտրաէներգիա արտադրելու և դրանից շահույթ ստանալու համար։ Փետրվարի 4-ին Իսրայելի էներգետիկայի նախարարությունը և Իսրայելի քարտեզագրական կենտրոնը մեկնարկել են հատուկ քարտեզագրական կայք, որը կօգնի երկրի ցանկացած բնակչի գնահատել արևային էներգիայի արտադրության պոտենցիալը բնակեցված տարածքներում։ Բնակիչները կարող են մուտքագրել իրենց հասցեն և պարզել, թե որքան էլեկտրաէներգիա կարող են արտադրել և որքան գումար կստանան ավելցուկների վաճառքից։

Համակարգը, օգտագործելով արհեստական բանականություն, օգնում է քարտեզագրել այն տարածքները, որտեղ հնարավոր է տեղադրել արևային պանելներ, վերլուծում է արևային ճառագայթման ինտենսիվությունը և հաշվարկում է արևային պանելների հնարավոր տեղադրման հզորությունը և դրանց աշխատանքի սպասվող ընդհանուր ժամանակը։

Արևային էներգիայի արտադրությունն առաջարկվում է բոլոր տեսակի շենքերի տանիքներում՝ բնակելի, առևտրային, արդյունաբերական, հասարակական հաստատություններում և գյուղատնտեսական կառույցներում Իսրայելի բնակավայրերի բնակեցված տարածքներում։

Այսօր Իսրայելում վերականգնվող էներգիայի աղբյուրների միջոցով արտադրվում է էլեկտրաէներգիայի մոտ 10 %-ը, հիմնականում արևային էներգիայի հաշվին։ Մնացած 70 %-ը բնական գազից է։ Միևնույն ժամանակ, Նեգև անապատում գտնվող ամենամեծ արևային էլեկտրակայանն արտադրում է Իսրայելի էներգիայի ընդամենը 1 %-ը։

Էներգետիկայի նախարարությունը նպատակ է դրել 2030 թվականին հասնել 30 %-ի։ Դրա համար անհրաժեշտ կլինի տարեկան ավելացնել հզորությունը մոտ 28 ՏՎտ/ժամով, իսկ ընդհանուր տեղադրված հզորությունը կկազմի 16,000 ՄՎտ։ Նախարարության զեկույցում նշվում է, որ նպատակներին հասնելու համար տեղադրման ցուցանիշը պետք է ավելանա 40 %-ով՝ տարեկան հասնելով 1400 ՄՎտ-ի։ Իսրայելում տեղադրումների մի մասը կիրականացվի կրկնակի նշանակության տարածքներում՝ աղբավայրերում, մայրուղիների հանգույցներում, ձկնաբուծական ջրամբարներում, ինչպես նաև գյուղատնտեսական հողերում։
