Դամասկոս կատարած այցի ընթացքում Սիրիային աջակցելու պատրաստակամություն է հայտնել ՀՀ արտաքին քաղաքական գերատեսչության ղեկավարի տեղակալ Վահան Կոստանյանը:
. ՀՀ ԱԳՆ-ն Sputnik Արմենիայի հարցմանն ի պատասխան նշել է բարեփոխումների այն ուղղությունները, որոնց հարցում Երևանը պատրաստ է աջակցել Սիրիային։
Հունվարի 27-ին ՀՀ ԱԳՆ-ն հայտնել էր, որ փոխարտգործնախարար Վահան Կոստանյանը Դամասկոսում Սիրիայի արտգործնախարար Ասադ Ալ-Շայբանիի հետ հանդիպման ժամանակ հայտարարել է, որ Երևանը պատրաստ է աջակցել հումանիտար և բարեփոխումների իրականացման ոլորտում։
Sputnik Արմենիան ԱԳՆ-ից հետաքրքրվել է, թե ում նախաձեռնությամբ է եղել Կոստանյանի այցը, արդյո՞ք դրա կազմակերպման մեջ որևէ կերպ ներգրավված է եղել Թուրքիան, ինչպես նաև, թե որ բարեփոխումների ոլորտում է Հայաստանը պատրաստ աջակցել Սիրիային։
Գերատեսչությունում նշել են, որ փոխարտգործնախարարի այցը եղել է «բացառապես հայկական կողմի նախաձեռնությամբ»:
Դրա նպատակը Սիրիայի նոր ղեկավարության հետ կապերի հաստատումն է, երկու երկրների միջև ավանդական բարեկամական համագործակցության վերականգնումը, ինչպես նաև հայ համայնքի խնդիրների քննարկումը:
«ՀՀ ԱԳ նախարարի տեղակալ Վահան Կոստանյանի և Սիրիայի ԱԳ նախարար դել Ասադ Ալ-Շայբանիի միջև հանդիպման ընթացքում քննարկվել են Հայաստանի կողմից Սիրիային աջակցության տրամադրման հնարավորությունները, մասնավորապես, երկրի սոցիալ-տնտեսական, հումանիտար և կրթամշակութային ոլորտներում ընթացող բարեփոխումների և հետպատերազմական վերականգնման համատեքստում»,-ասված է հաղորդագրության մեջ:
Նշենք, որ ըստ ՀՀ ԱԳՆ հաղորդագրության, սիրիական կողմը բարձր է գնահատել հայկական պատվիրակության այցը Դամասկոս: Պայմանավորվածություն է ձեռք բերվել շարունակել շփումները։
