Մեծի Տանն Կիլիկիո Արամ Ա կաթողիկոսը նամակ է հղել ԱՄՆ նախագահ Թրամփին և կոչ արել նրան պնդել Ադրբեջանի կողմից հայ պատանդների ազատ արձակման և արցախահայության՝ հայրենիք վերադառնալու իրավունքը։

Արամ Առաջինը նախագահ Թրամփին կոչ է արել միջամտել և ապահովել հայ պատանդների, նրանց թվում՝ Արցախի նախկին ղեկավարների անհապաղ ազատ արձակումը։

Նա կոչ է արել Թրամփին վերահաստատել իր նախընտրական դիրքորոշումը Արցախի հարցում՝ ընդգծելով բնիկ հայերի իրավունքը՝ վերադառնալու իրենց հայրենիք՝ անվտանգության միջազգային երաշխիքներով։ Արամ Առաջինը միաժամանակ ընդգծել է տարածաշրջանում խաղաղության ապահովման գործում ԱՄՆ-ի ուժեղ առաջնորդության անհրաժեշտությունը՝ ընդգծելով, որ Թրամփի ներգրավվածությունն այս խնդիրների լուծմանը կուժեղացնի նրա դերը՝ որպես համաշխարհային խաղաղարարի։ Արամ Առաջինը նաև ընդգծել է ԱՄՆ-ի դերը միջազգային իրավունքի խախտման համար Ադրբեջանին պատասխանատվության ենթարկելու հարցում՝ զգուշացնելով, որ շարունակական անգործությունը կհանգեցնի հայերի դեմ հետագա ագրեսիայի։ Նա ընդգծել է, որ գերիների ազատ արձակումն ու արցախահայության իրավունքների ճանաչումը ամենակարևոր քայլերն են դեպի արդար և հարատև խաղաղություն։

Նշենք, որ 2024 թվականի նոյեմբերի 1-ին, որպես ԱՄՆ նախագահի թեկնածու, Դոնալդ Թրամփը զանգահարել է Արամ Առաջինին՝ աջակցություն հայտնելով արցախահայությանը, հաստատելով նրանց վերադարձի իրավունքը՝ անվտանգության երաշխիքներով և դատապարտելով Ադրբեջանի էթնիկ զտումները։
