Դանիայում Denmarkification նախաձեռնությունը  առաջարկել է գնել ԱՄՆ Կալիֆորնիա նահանգը՝ ի պատասխան ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի՝ Գրենլանդիան միացնելու ջանքերին։ Այս մասին գրում է Politico-ն։

Ըստ քարոզարշավի նախաձեռնող Քսավյե Դյութուայի՝ Կալիֆորնիան Դանիայի վրա կարժենա 1 տրիլիոն դոլար և «Հոլիվուդի կողմից վճարված դանիական հրուշակեղենի վրա ծախսված գումարը ողջ պատմության ընթացքում»: Նա կարծում է, որ Lego-ի ներկայացուցիչները պետք է զբաղվեն Վաշինգտոնի հետ շփումներով, քանի որ «երեխաների հետ գործ ունենալը, որոնք զայրանում են անհետ կորած կտորների համար, նրանց դարձրել են փորձագետներ բանակցությունների ոլորտում»։

Գնման համար առաջարկվում է միջոցներ հայթայթել կամավոր նվիրատվությունների միջոցով։ Առայժմ հայտնի չէ, թե որքան գումար է հավաքվել ընդհանուր առմամբ, սակայն Կալիֆորնիայի՝ Դանիայի մաս դառնալու մասին խնդրագիրը ստորագրել է գրեթե 200 հազար մարդ, ասվում է տեքստում։

Պետությունը գնելու գաղափարի հեղինակները կարծում են, որ Թրամփը կարող է համաձայնել վաճառել այն, քանի որ նա բազմիցս անվայել կերպով խոսել է այդ մասին։

Ամերիկայի առաջնորդ Դոնալդ Թրամփը բազմիցս հայտարարել է, որ Կանադան և Գրենլանդիան պետք է դառնան Միացյալ Նահանգների մաս։ Նա նաև ասել է, որ մտադիր է Պանամայի ջրանցքը վերադարձնել ԱՄՆ-ի վերահսկողությանը: Հանրապետականի հայտարարություններն արժանացել են Պանամայի, Կանադայի և Դանիայի իշխանությունների սուր արձագանքին։
