Իսպանական ոստիկանությունը կալանել է առագաստանավ, որը տեղափոխել է 600 կիլոգրամ թմրանյութ։ Այն շարժվել է դեպի Կանարյան կղզիներ
«Թմրամիջոցների ապօրինի ծովային շրջանառության դեմ պայքարի այս միջազգային օպերացիային ներգրավված են եղել Ֆրանսիայի (DNRED), Մեծ Բրիտանիայի (NCA) և Միացյալ Նահանգների (DEA) իշխանություններին»,- ասվում է հայտարարության մեջ, գրել են ԶԼՄ-ները։
Ոստիկանության տվյալներով՝ հանցագործներն օգտագործել են Լեհաստանի դրոշով նավ՝ Իսպանիա թմրանյութ տեղափոխելու համար։ Զբոսանավը կալանավորվել է Տեներիֆեից 800 մղոն դեպի արևմուտք հեռավորության վրա:
Գործողությունն իրականացվել է մի քանի երկրների իրավապահ մարմինների համագործակցությամբ։ Կարիբյան ավազանի ֆրանսիական հետախուզական ծառայությունների կողմից ստացված տեղեկատվությունը Մեծ Բրիտանիայի և ԱՄՆ-ի հետախուզության հետ միասին օգնել է բացահայտել նավի երթուղին ու ծրագրել դրա կալանավորումը:
