Չորեքշաբթի առավոտյան մոտ 100 միլիոն մարդ արթնանում է ձմեռային եղանակի նախազգուշացումներով, սպասվում է ուժեղ եղանակ, ցուրտ և ափից ափ ճանապարհորդական քաոս, հայտնում է NBC News-ը։
Ազգային եղանակային ծառայության նախազգուշացումները տարածվում են Կոլորադոյից մինչև Մեյն, քանի որ բազմաթիվ փոթորիկները մինչև 9 դյույմ ձյուն են թափում Արևմտյան Վիրջինիայում: Շարունակվող ձմեռային փոթորիկները սպառնում են ավելի շատ սառույց և ձյուն բերել այս շրջաններին առաջիկա երկու օրվա ընթացքում, իսկ երրորդ փոթորիկը սպասվում է մինչև հանգստյան օրերին:

Համաձայն FlightAware-ի քարտեզի, այսօր տեղական ժամանակով ժամը 4-ից ի վեր արդեն եղել է գրեթե 200 թռիչքի հետաձգում և ավելի քան 70 չեղարկում, հիմնականում՝ Արևելյան ափին:
Երկրորդ փոթորկային համակարգն արդեն ձևավորվում է արևելյան Կոլորադոյի և հարթավայրերի վրա և, կարծես, առատ ձյուն կբերի Միջին Արևմուտք և Վերին Միջին Արևմուտք: Կենտրոնական հարթավայրերից ձյունը կտեղափոխվի Մեծ լճերի տարածաշրջան՝ չորեքշաբթի օրը հասնելով Չիկագո՝ ճաշի ժամին, այնուհետև գիշերը Նոր Անգլիա, որտեղ կառաջացնի սառույց և անձրև: Հինգշաբթի երեկոյան բոլոր տեղումները կդադարեն։
