Արտակ Զաքարյանը ֆեյսբուքյան իր էջում գրել է․
«Ուկրաինան և Եվրոպան պետք է մասնակցեն ցանկացած բանակցությունների՝ կապված Ուկրաինայում պատերազմի ավարտի հետ»: Եվրոպական մի շաք երկրների արտգործնախարարներն այսօրվա հայտարարութամբ պատրաստակամություն են հայտնել նաև ուժեղացնել աջակցությունն Ուկրաինային՝ պաշտպանելով նրա անկախությունը, ինքնիշխանությունն ու տարածքային ամբողջականությունը:
Երեկ ԱՄՆ-ի և Ռուսաստանի նախագահներ Դոնալդ Թրամփի և Վլադիմիր Պուտինի՝ Ուկրաինայի վերաբերյալ հեռախոսազրույցով արձանագրվել էր պատերազմը դադարեցնելու և խնդիրները լուծելու երկկողմ ցանկությունների և պատրաստակամության մասին:
Եվորպայի այսօրվա հայտարարությունից երևում է, որ պատերազմն այս փուլում և այս ստատուս-քվոյով կանգնեցնելն այդքան էլ իրենց սրտով չէ: Նրանք, ըստ էության ակնարկել են նաև Ուկրաինայում պատերազմը շարունակելու մասին, քանզի ակնհայտ է, որ Ռուսաստանը չի համաձայնվի ԵՄ առաջ քաշած պայմաններով լուծումներին:
Ամերիկյան վարչակազմին կհաջողվի արդյոք մոտեցնել Ռուսաստանի և Եվրոպական լոկոմոտիվ երկրների ստրատեգիական դիրքորոշումները՝ առայժմ բարդ է ասել: Չի բացառվում, որ Միացյալ Նահանգները, մի քանի փորձերից հետո, դադարի շարունակել խաղաղության հասնելու գործընթացը և Եվրոպան ստիված լինի միայնակ առերեսվել ուկրաինական պատերազմի ընթացքի ու հետևանքների հետ: Հատկապես, որ այդ պատերազմի հարցում Եվրոպան միասնական չէ և երկրներն ունեն տարբեր շահեր ու ակնկալլիքներ:
Այդ պարագայում կարող է ընդլայնվել ռազմական գործողությունների աշխարհագրությունը՝ իր մեջ ընդգրկելով եվրոպական այլ տարածքներ: Իսկ պատերազմին հատկացվող և ավելացող ծախսերն ու խորացող սոցիալական պրոբլեմները կհանգեցնեն երկրների հասարակությունների աճող դժգոհությանն ու հնարավոր իշխանափոխությունների:
