«Երբ Մալենան ծնվեց, բժիշկն ասաց՝ «ինչ մեծ բերան ունի, երգիչ պապուն է քաշել»: Հայրս երգիչ չէ, երաժիշտ է, բայց այդպես ասաց ու փաստորեն Մալենան իրոք դարձավ երգչուհի:
Բառերով հնարավոր չէ բացատել ինչ զգացի այդ պահին, երբ տեսա ու գրկեցի նրան: Ես ծանր ծննդաբերություն էի ունեցել, բայց իմ ոգևորության ու ուրախության պատճառով չէի զգացել, որ ինչ-որ դժվարություններ են եղել:
Բժիշկը ասաց՝ մենք երեխային կպահենք մեզ մոտ և ինձ մոտ թողնելով կանչի կոճակ՝ հորդորեց առանց ուղեկցության ոտքի չկանգնել:
Բայց, ես սպասեցի, գիշերը եկավ, բոլորն արդեն քնած էին կամ ամեն մեկն իր գործով էր, որոշեցի գնալ Մելենային տեսնելու:
Ինձ ասել էին, որ երեխան 1-2 օր կմնա իրենց մոտ մինչև ես կհանգստանամ: Այդ ժամանակ Մալենան մյուս մասնաշենքում էր, ես հետաքրքրվելով գնացի այդ մասնաշենք: Շատ երեխաներ կային, բոլորը լաց էին լինում բացի մեկից:
Ինչ-որ ներքին զգացողությամբ ես հասկացա, որ նա իմ երեխան է: Մոտեցա, տեսա, որ իսկապես իմ աղջիկն է, կերակրեցի ու լաց եղա:
Ես հոգեպես պատրաստ չէի մայրանալու, ես դա հետո եմ գիտակցել:
Երբեմն, երբ նա քնած էր, պետք է մոտենայի օրորոցին և ստուգեի՝ քնած է, թե՝ ոչ, վախենում էի, ու դա բացատրման ենթական չէ: Դա հենց հետծննդյան դեպրեսիա ասվածն էր: Շատ շնորհակալ եմ Աստծուց, որ հենց նա է իմ աղջիկը, ոչ մի օր իր կյանքում նեղություն չի տվել: Միայն հպարտության, հանգստության ու լավ ու դրական էմոցիաներ է պարգևել»,- «Կամուրջներ» հաղորդման շրջանակներում պատմել է դերասանուհի Աննա Մանուչարյանը:
