Испанский фотограф назван подводным фотографом года за фотографию горбатого кита и его новорожденного детеныша во Французской Полинезии.
Альваро Эрреро обошёл более 6750 других участников и получил приз этого года. Его фотография демонстрирует «материнскую любовь и передает красоту и хрупкость жизни в океане», — заявили организаторы конкурса.
Конкурс «Подводный фотограф года», который стартовал в 1965 году, посвящен фотографияи под поверхностью океана, озер, рек и даже бассейнов и привлекает участников со всего мира.
Дэвид Альперт был назван британским подводным фотографом года за свою фотографию под названием «Любопытный тюлень». Он сказал, что его фотография бросает вызов заблуждениям о том, что британские воды мутные и безжизненные.
