2023 թվականի սեպտեմբերյան իրադարձություններից հետո իրենց կամքով Ստեփանակերտում մնացած Սարգիս Գալստյանի դատավճռի շուրջ Դատախազության և պաշտպանության կողմի միջև անհամաձայնություն կա։

Դատախազությունը պահանջում է բեկանել առաջին ատյանի դատական ակտն ու դատապարտել Գալստյանին ցմահ ազատազրկման, պաշտպանության կողմը՝ բեկանել դատական ակտը և արդարացնել Գալստյանին։ 

«2024թ նոյեմբերի 22-ին հրապարակվել է Սարգիս Գալստյանի գործով դատավճիռը՝ մեղավոր ճանաչելով նրան և դատապարտելով ազատազրկման՝ 18 տարի ժամկետով։ Այս դատավճռի դեմ բողոքներ են ներկայացվել։ Բողոքները կքննվեն Վերաքննիչ քրեական դատարանում։ Թե ինչ արդյունք կտա՝ չեմ կարող ենթադրություններ անել։ Ամեն դեպքում, այդ գործը իրավասու մարմինների տիրույթում է։ Սաքոյի հետ մենք ճանապարհ ենք անցել, մի գրամ կասկած չունեմ, որ նա աշխատել է ադրբեջանցիների օգտին։ Ամեն դեպքում, եթե դրա ապացույցը կա, թող դատեն, ու բոլոր դավաճանները թող ցմահ ազատազրկվեն»,- MediaHub-ի հետ զրույցում ասաց Շուշիի վարչակազմի նախկին աշխատակիցը։ 

«Ես կարծում եմ, որ Սարգսի դեմ այս ամենը սկսվեց այն պատճառով, որ նա որոշեց կնոջ հետ մնալ հայաթափված Արցախում։ Մեզանից յուրաքանչյուրի հետ կարող էին այդպես վարվել, եթե մենք ևս շատ հանգիստ որոշեինք մնալ։ Բայց հասկանալով իրավիճակի լրջությունը՝ դուրս եկանք մեր հայրենիքից։ Սա լուրջ կասկած հարուցեց Սարգսի դեմ։ Ինչո՞ւ մնաց, ինչո՞ւ վերադարձավ, և ի՞նչ բացահայտվեց նրա շուրջ։ Ես տեսել եմ Մարգարիտայի հարցազրույցը, բայց, ցավոք, նրա հետ չեմ կարողանում կապ հաստատել, ես էլ հարցեր ունեմ, բայց համարներն անհասանելի են»,- ասաց նա։ 

Հիշեցնենք, որ Սարգիս Գալստյանն Արցախի հայաթափումից հետո կնոջ հետ մնացել էր Ստեփանակերտում։ Նախորդ տարվա մարտի 29-ին Կարմիր խաչի միջազգային կոմիտեի ուղեկցությամբ Արցախից Հայաստան են տեղափոխվել Սարգիս Գալստյանը և նրա կինը՝ իրենց ցանկությամբ: Գորիս հասնելուց անմիջապես հետո վերջիններս ձերբակալվել են, սակայն ավելի ուշ Գալստյանի կինն ազատ է արձակվել, իսկ Սարգսին ներկայացվել է մեղադրանք՝ լրտեսության համար։ Սարգիս Գալստյանի նկատմամբ խափանման միջոց է ընտրվել կալանքը։
