Սպիտակ տան Օվալաձև աշխատասենյակում ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի և Ուկրաինայի նախագահ Վլադիմիր Զելենսկու հանդիպումը թեժ է անցել։

Հանդիպման սկզբում կողմերը հայտարարել են, որ պատրաստվում են հանքային համաձայնագիր ստորագրել։ Թրամփը լրագրողներին ասել է, որ փաստաթուղթը կլինի «ԱՄՆ-ի մեծ պարտավորությունը»: Զելենսկին իր հերթին հույս է հայտնել, որ «այս փաստաթուղթը մեկ քայլ առաջ կլինի Ուկրաինայի համար»։

Meduza-ի փոխանցմամբ՝ Թրամփն իր խոսքում հայտնել է՝ Ուկրաինան «շատ լավ վիճակում չէ», և Կիևը չի կարող Վաշինգտոնին թելադրել՝ ինչպես վերաբերվել ռուս-ուկրաինական հակամարտությանը։

ԱՄՆ նախագահը նաև շեշտել է, որ Վաշինգտոնը չի ցանկանում Ուկրաինային շատ զենք ուղարկել, այլ ցանկանում է պատերազմի ավարտ։ Խոսելով ԱՄՆ-Ուկրաինա հազվագյուտ մետաղների համաձայնագրի մասին՝ Թրամփը նշել է, որ այն «շատ արդար է»։

Զելենսկին շնորհակալություն է հայտնել Թրամփին օգտակար հանածոների մասին համաձայնագրի համար, նաև հավելել, որ ցանկանում է քննարկել, թե ԱՄՆ-ն ինչ կարող է անել հակամարտության կարգավորման համար։ Նա հույս է հայտնել, որ «միասին կարող են կանգնեցնել այն»։

Զելենսկին ընդգծել է, որ Ուկրաինան կարիք ունի ամերիկյան հակաօդային պաշտպանության համակարգի։ Նա Թրամփին պատերազմի մի քանի լուսանկարներ է ցուցադրել՝ ասելով․ «Նույնիսկ պատերազմում կան կանոններ։ Բայց այս տղաները [Ռուսաստանը] կանոններ չունեն»։ Ուկրաինայի նախագահի խոսքով՝ «միայն հրադադարը» Ռուսաստանին չի կանգնեցնի։ Նա նշել է, որ Կիևը չի համաձայնի մարտական գործողությունների դադարեցմանը՝ առանց երկարատև խաղաղության երաշխիքների։

45 րոպե տևած հանդիպման ավարտին բանավոր վեճ է տեղի ունեցել Զելենսկու, Թրամփի և ԱՄՆ փոխնախագահ Ջ.Դ.Վենսի միջև։ Դատելով հանդիպման տեսագրությունից՝ Վենսը Զելենսկուն մեղադրել է ԱՄՆ-ի և Թրամփի նկատմամբ անհարգալից վերաբերմունք ցուցաբերելու մեջ։ «Պարոն նախագահ, ամենայն հարգանքով. «Կարծում եմ՝ անհարգալից է, որ գալիս ես Օվալաձև գրասենյակ և փորձում ամեն ինչ կարգավորել ամերիկյան լրատվամիջոցների առջև», – ասել է ԱՄՆ փոխնախագահը։

Երբ Զելենսկին փորձել է պատասխանել, Թրամփն իր հերթին նշել է․ «Դուք այս պահին լավ վիճակում չեք։ Դուք հիմա հաղթաթուղթ չունեք։ Մեզ հետ Դուք կունենաք հաղթաթուղթ: Դուք վտանգում եք միլիոնավոր մարդկանց կյանքը։ Դուք վտանգում եք նրանց երրորդ համաշխարհային պատերազմով»:

Լրատվամիջոցներն այնուհետև հայտնեցին՝ Թրամփի ու Զելենսկու մամուլի ասուլիսը, որ նախատեսվում էր անցկացնել երկու նախագահների բանակցություններից հետո, չեղարկվել է այս թեժ բանավեճից հետո։
