Մեծ Բրիտանիայի վարչապետ Քիր Սթարմերը, Ֆրանսիայի նախագահ Էմանուել Մակրոնը, Գերմանիայի կանցլեր Օլաֆ Շոլցը, Կանադայի վարչապետ Ջասթին Թրյուդոն, Եվրահանձնաժողովի նախագահ Ուրսուլա ֆոն դեր Լեյենը, Ուկրաինայի նախագահ Վլադիմիր Զելենսկին, Իտալիայի վարչապետ Ջորջիա Մելոնին, ՆԱՏՕ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղար Մարկ Ռյուտեն գտնվում են Լոնդոնում, որտեղ կայանալու է Ուկրաինային հետագա աջակցության հարցով գագաթնաժողովը:
Հանդիպմանը, որը կազմակերպել է Մեծ Բրիտանիայի վարչապետ Քիր Սթարմերը, մասնակցում են 18 երկրների ու դաշինքների ներկայացուցիչներ։
Սթարմերը ասել է, որ Մեծ Բրիտանիան և Ֆրանսիան կաշխատեն Ուկրաինայի հետ «ռազմական գործողությունները դադարեցնելու ծրագրի վրա», իսկ հետո այն կքննարկեն Միացյալ Նահանգների հետ: Սթարմերը BBC-ին ասել է, որ իր հիմնական նպատակն այժմ «կամուրջ» դառնալն է Զելենսկու և ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի միջև:
Նրա խոսքով՝ Սպիտակ տան Օվալաձև աշխատասենյակում տեղի ունեցած վիճաբանությունից անմիջապես հետո ինքը զանգահարել է և՛ Միացյալ Նահանգների նախագահին, և՛ Ուկրաինայի նախագահին:
«Իմ արձագանքն այն էր. մենք պետք է կամուրջներ կառուցենք, պետք է ճանապարհ գտնենք միասին աշխատելու համար: Քանի որ վերջիվերջո մենք երեք տարի է՝ ունենք արյունալի հակամարտություն, և մենք պետք է հասնենք կայուն խաղաղության»,- ասել է Սթարմերը:
Հիշեցնենք, որ փետրվարի 28-ին Սպիտակ տանը թեժ լեզվակռիվ է տեղի ունեցել Թրամփի, փոխնախագահ Ջեյ Դի Վենսի և Զելենսկու միջև, ինչի հետևանքով Ուկրաինայի ղեկավարը վաղաժամ լքել է Սպիտակ տունը՝ առանց որևէ փաստաթուղթ ստորագրելու: ԱՄՆ նախագահը Զելենսկուն մեղադրել է «երրորդ համաշխարհային պատերազմի հետ խաղաղու, ԱՄՆ-ի օգնությունը չգնահատելու և հրադադար չցանկանալու համար»։ Ավելի ուշ Թրամփը հայտնել է, որ «Զելենսկին պատրաստ չէ խաղաղության»։
