Հռոմի Ֆրանցիսկոս պապը, որը կայուն վիճակում գտնվում է հիվանդանոցում՝ 17 օր թոքաբորբի դեմ պայքարելով, կիրակի օրը հանդիպել է Վատիկանի երկու պաշտոնյաների և գրավոր ուղերձով շնորհակալություն հայտնել բարեմաղթողներին նրանց աղոթքների և աջակցության համար, հայտնում է Reuters-ը։
88-ամյա Ֆրանցիսկոս պապը փետրվարի 14-ին ընդունվել է Հռոմի Ջեմելի հիվանդանոց՝ շնչառական խնդիրներով, որոնք վերածվել են երկկողմանի թոքաբորբի, որը կարող է հանգեցնել բորբոքման և սպիների առաջացման, ինչը դժվարացնում է շնչառությունը:
Վատիկանը շաբաթ երեկոյան հայտնել է, որ պոնտիֆիկոսի վիճակը կայունացել է մեկ օր առաջ «մեկուսացված» շնչառական ճգնաժամից հետո։
«Ես ցանկանում եմ շնորհակալություն հայտնել ձեզ ձեր աղոթքների համար», - ասվում է Ֆրանցիսկոսի գրության մեջ, որը Վատիկանը հրապարակել է ուխտավորների հետ նրա սովորական կիրակնօրյա աղոթքի փոխարեն, ինչը Հռոմի պապը երրորդ շաբաթն անընդմեջ չի անցկացնում:
«Ես զգում եմ ձեր ողջ նվիրվածությունն ու մտերմությունը և... զգում եմ, որ ինձ «տանում» և աջակցում է Աստծո ողջ ժողովուրդը»,- ասված է պոնտիֆիկոսի ուղերձում։
Ֆրանցիսկոսը նաև կիրակի օրը հիվանդանոցում հանդիպել է Վատիկանի երկրորդ դեմքի և իր տեղակալի՝ կարդինալ Պիետրո Պարոլինի հետ, հայտնել է Վատիկանի մամուլի քարտուղար Մատեո Բրունին՝ չտրամադրելով լրացուցիչ մանրամասներ հանդիպման մասին:
