Լոնդոնում ավարտվել է Ուկրաինայի հարցով եվրոպական գագաթնաժողովը, որը տևել է մոտ երկու ժամ։ Գագաթնաժողովի մասնակիցները հերթով հեռանում են Լանկասթեր Հաուսից։ Սպասվում է, որ Վլադիմիր Զելենսկին կմեկնի Սանդրինգհեմ՝ հանդիպելու թագավոր Չառլզ III-ի հետ։

Եվրահանձնաժողովի ղեկավար Ուրսուլա ֆոն դեր Լեյենը Լոնդոնում եվրոպացի առաջնորդների գագաթնաժողովը որակել է որպես «լավ և անկեղծ քննարկում»։

Նրա խոսքով, առաջնորդները քննարկել են Կիևի համար անվտանգության համապարփակ երաշխիքների անհրաժեշտությունը, այդ թվում՝ Ուկրաինային ուժեղ դիրք հաղորդելը և նրան «ամրապնդելու և պաշտպանելու» միջոցներ տրամադրելը։

Ֆոն դեր Լեյենն ասել է, որ «մենք պետք է ուժեղացնենք մեր պաշտպանությունը... մենք պետք է հսկայական քայլ անենք առաջ»՝ հավելելով, որ անհրաժեշտ է հստակ ծրագիր Եվրամիության կողմից և համաեվրոպական մոտեցում:

«Այժմ մեզ համար չափազանց կարևոր է մեծացնել ծախսերը… կարևոր է նախապատրաստվել վատագույնին», - ասաց Ուրսուլա ֆոն դեր Լեյենը:

Նա նաև դիմել է ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփին Լոնդոնից՝ ասելով. «Մենք պատրաստ ենք ձեզ հետ կանգնել՝ պաշտպանելու ժողովրդավարությունը, պաշտպանելու օրենքի գերակայության սկզբունքը, ըստ որի՝ դուք չեք կարող ներխուժել ձեր հարևանին կամ ուժով փոխել սահմանները»:

«Մեր ընդհանուր շահերից է բխում կանխել ապագա պատերազմները», - ավելացրեց նա:

Գագաթնաժողովից առաջ ՆԱՏՕ-ի ղեկավար Մարկ Ռյուտեն X սոցիալական ցանցում գրել է, որ ինքը «շատ դրական է»:Նա թվարկեց երեք հիմնական կետ. առաջինն այն է, որ «Եվրոպայում բոլորը պետք է ավելին անեն» Ուկրաինային աջակցելու համար: «Մենք բոլորս ցանկանում ենք խաղաղության համաձայնագիր, և այն պետք է լինի երկարաժամկետ», - գրել է Ռյուտեն՝ հավելելով, որ Եվրոպան «իսկապես ակտիվացել է»։

Ռյուտեն նաև նշել է. «ՆԱՏՕ-ն ուժեղ պահելու համար Եվրոպան կավելացնի պաշտպանական ծախսերը»:
