«Ընկած ռեժիմի որոշ մնացորդներ մարտահրավեր են նետում նոր Սիրիային: Սիրիան մնում է միասնական՝ արևելքից արևմուտք, հյուսիսից հարավ։ Ընկած ռեժիմի մնացորդներին հիշեցնում եմ. մենք ձեր դեմ պայքարեցինք ազատագրման համար, նույնիսկ այն ժամանակ, երբ դուք փորձեցիք սպանել մեզ: Մեր նպատակն է վերականգնել այն երկիրը, որը դուք ավերել եք: Չնայած ձեր դավաճանությանը՝ պետությունը մնալու է քաղաքացիական խաղաղության երաշխավորը։ Հանձնեք զենքը, քանի դեռ շատ ուշ չէ»,- հայտարարել է Աշ-Շարաան:
Սիրիայում Բաշար Ասադի իշխանության անկումից ի վեր ամենազանգվածային բախումներն են գրացվել: Արդեն հարյուրավոր մարդիկ են զոհվել։ Բախումները հիմնականում տեղի են ունենում Լաթաքիա նահանգում, որտեղ մեծ թիվ են կազմում ալևիները, որոնք Ասադի իշխանության հենասյունն էին։
Այժմ որոշ շրջաններում շարունակվում են փոխհրաձգությունները։ Առայժմ չի հաջողվել մարել հրդեհները, որոնք բռնկվել են պայթյուններից հետո։
