«Բաբոն Տերա» կանանց նախաձեռնությունը բաց նամակ է ուղել ՄԱԿ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղարի մարդու իրավունքների գծով օգնական Իլզե Բրանդս Քեհրիսին, Եվրախորհրդարանի պատգամավոր Մարտա Թեմիդոյին և Եվրոպական խորհրդարանի նախագահ Ռոբերտա Մեցոլային։ Նամակում նշված է․

«Հազարավոր հայ կանանց անունից այս նամակն ենք ուղղում Ձեզ։

Շնորհավորում ենք Կանանց միջազգային օրվա՝ մարտի 8-ի կապակցությամբ։

Ձեր ձեռքբերումներն ու ներդրումները մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանության ոլորտում, մասնավորապես՝ որպես ՄԱԿ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղարի մարդու իրավունքների օգնականի դերում, խոսում են ձեր նվիրվածության և բացառիկ առաջնորդական որակների մասին:

Ողջ աշխարհում կանանց տոների այս նշանակալից առիթով մենք դիմում ենք ձեզ՝ վստահ լինելով, որ որպես կին առաջնորդ և գտնվելով մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպան ՄԱԿ-ի ամենաբարձր մակարդակում, դուք կարող եք կարևոր դեր խաղալ հայ բանտարկյալների ճակատագրում:

Այսօր, մինչ աշխարհը հարգում է կանանց իրավունքներն ու ձեռքբերումները, հարյուրավոր հայ մայրեր, կանայք, քույրեր և դուստրեր չեն կարող տոնել: Նրանք սպասում են Ադրբեջանում գերության մեջ գտնվող իրենց սիրելիների վերադարձին։ Մենք խնդրում ենք ձեր աջակցությունն ու գործողությունը։ Որպես ՄԱԿ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղարի՝ մարդու իրավունքների գծով օգնական, դուք ունեք բացառիկ հնարավորություն և լծակներ՝ ազդելու այս իրավիճակի վրա: Ձեր ձայնը, ուշադրությունը և կոնկրետ քայլերը կարող են կյանքեր փրկել և վերամիավորել ընտանիքները:

Մենք կոչ ենք անում ձեզ.

1. Հայ բանտարկյալների հարցը բարձրացնել ՄԱԿ-ի ֆորումներում, այդ թվում՝ Մարդու իրավունքների խորհրդում և Անվտանգության խորհրդում.

2. Աջակցել ՄԱԿ-ի գլխավորած միջազգային դիտորդական առաքելություններին այցելել ադրբեջանական բանտեր, որտեղ պահվում են հայ բանտարկյալները

3. Խրախուսել Ադրբեջանում մարդու իրավունքների խախտումների դեմ պատասխանատվության միջոցները

4. Օգտագործեք ձեր դիրքը բանակցություններին նպաստելու և բոլոր բանտարկյալների անհապաղ վերադարձն ապահովելու համար:

Մենք բառեր կամ վերացական արտահայտություններ չենք խնդրում: Կոնկրետ գործողություններ ենք խնդրում։ Այս տարի տոնելու փոխարեն ընտրել ենք մեր ձայնը բարձրացնելը. Կոչ ենք անում միանալ մեզ այս կարևոր պայքարում։ Մեր բանտարկյալների կյանքը հաշվում են ոչ թե օրերով, այլ րոպեներով։
