Տղամարդը, որը փրկվել է այրվող տնից ամերիկյան Քոնեկտիկուտ նահանգում, պատմել է դաժանության եւ մշտական սովի ցնցող պատմություն 20 տարի նույն սենյակում գերության մեջ մնալու մասին, որին ենթարկվել է հոր եւ խորթ մոր կողմից, հայտնել է CBS News-ը։
Տղամարդն իշխանություններին պատմել է, որ իր գերությունն սկսվել է, երբ նա մոտ 11 տարեկան էր: Նա ասել է, որ օրվա եւ գիշերվա մեծ մասը փակված է եղել չջեռուցվող եւ չօդափոխվող սենյակում, եւ նրան տվել են սահմանափակ քանակությամբ սնունդ եւ ջուր:
Զուգարանի հասանելիություն չունենալով՝ նա զանազան հնարներ է մտածել, այդ թվում ծղոտի օգնությամբ, որը մտցրել է պատուհանի անցքից։ Ատամնաբուժական օգնության բացակայության պատճառով նրա ատամները կոտրվել են, երբ նա մի բան է ծամել։
