Եմենում հութիների դեմ ԱՄՆ-ի շարունակվող ռազմական հարձակումը հանգեցրել է «խմբավորման մի քանի առաջնորդների» ոչնչացմանը, - կիրակի հայտարարել է ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի ազգային անվտանգության հարցերով խորհրդական Ուոլցը՝ սպառնալով Իրանում հութիների կողմնակիցներին, որ «նրանց սեփական ակտիվները կարող են դառնալ հաջորդ թիրախը»:

«Դա ապշեցուցիչ պատասխան էր, որը, փաստորեն, ուղղված էր մի քանի հութի առաջնորդների դեմ և ոչնչացրեց նրանց», - հայտարարել է Ուոլցը ABC-ին:

Թեև նախորդ վարչակազմը նույնպես հարվածներ է հասցրել Եմենում հութիների թիրախներին, ներառյալ ստորգետնյա զենքի պահեստարանները, Ուոլցը շաբաթ օրվա հարձակումը բնութագրեց որպես ավելի լայնածավալ:

«Այստեղ տարբերությունն այն է, որ նախ՝ հետապնդվում է հութիների ղեկավարությունը, և երկրորդ՝ պատասխանատվությունը դրվում է Իրանի վրա։ Իրանն է բազմիցս ֆինանսավորել, ռեսուրսներ տրամադրել, մարզել և օգնել հութիներին հարձակվել ոչ միայն ամերիկյան ռազմանավերի վրա, այլև համաշխարհային առևտրի վրա, ինչպես նաև օգնել է հութիներին փակել աշխարհի ամենառազմավարական ծովային երկու ուղիները», - ասել է ամերիկացի պաշտոնյան:

Միաժամանակ նա հրաժարվել է բացառել Իրանի դեմ ուղղակի ռազմական գործողությունների հնարավորությունը։

«Նախագահը բազմիցս հայտարարել է, որ Իրանը չի կարող միջուկային զենք ունենալ։ Դիտարկվում են բոլոր տարբերակները, որպեսզի նա դա չունենա։ Նրանք կարող են կամ հանձնել այն և հրաժարվել դրանից այնպես, որ հնարավոր լինի ստուգել, կամ կարող են բախվել մի ամբողջ շարք հետևանքների»,- հավելել է նա։

Ավելի վաղ ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփը հայտարարել էր, որ հրամայել է երկրի զինված ուժերին սկսել «վճռական և ուժգին ռազմական գործողություններ» Եմենի հութիների դեմ՝ Իրանից պահանջելով դադարեցնել վերջիններիս աջակցությունը։

Վերջին տվյալներով, Եմենում ԱՄՆ ավիահարվածների հետևանքով զոհվածների ու վիրավորների թիվը մոտեցել է 50-ի։

Եմենի շուրջ ստեղծված իրավիճակը քննարկվել է ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղար Մարկո Ռուբիոյի և ՌԴ ԱԳ նախարար Սերգեյ Լավրովի զրույցում։ Լավրովը հակամարտության բոլոր կողմերին կոչ է արել անհապաղ դադարեցնել բռնությունը։

Իր հերթին Իրանի արտգործնախարար Աբաս Արաղչին հայտարարել է, որ ԱՄՆ-ն «իրավունք կամ գործ չունի Իրանի արտաքին քաղաքականությունը թելադրելու համար»։

Միևնույն ժամանակ, Իրանի Իսլամական հեղափոխության պահապանների կորպուսի (ԻՀՊԿ) հրամանատար, գեներալ-մայոր Հոսեյն Սալամին հայտարարել է, որ Իրանը որևէ դեր չի խաղում տարածաշրջանային դիմադրության խմբերի, այդ թվում՝ Եմենի «Անսար Ալլահի» քաղաքականության ուղղորդման մեջ։
