Մարտի 15-ին Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Գարեգին Երկրորդ Ծայրագույն Պատրիարք և Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսը Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածնում ընդունեց Մ. Վ. Լոմոնոսովի անվան Մոսկվայի պետական համալսարանի Ասիայի և Աֆրիկայի երկրների ինստիտուտի տնօրեն պրոֆեսոր Ալեքսեյ Մասլովի գլխավորած պատվիրակությանը՝ ուղեկցությամբ ԵՊՀ Արևելագիտության ֆակուլտետի դեկան պրոֆեսոր Ռուբեն Մելքոնյանի:

Հանդիպմանը ներկա էին Մայր Աթոռի Արտաքին հարաբերությունների և արարողակարգի բաժնի տնօրեն Գերաշնորհ Տ. Նաթան արքեպիսկոպոս Հովհաննիսյանը և Ռուսաստանի և Նոր Նախիջևանի հայոց թեմի առաջնորդ Գերաշնորհ Տ. Եզրաս արքեպիսկոպոս Ներսիսյանը։

Տիար Մելքոնյանը, ներկայացնելով հյուրերին, Նորին Սրբությանը տեղեկություններ փոխանցեց երկու կրթական հաստատությունների միջև ձևավորված համագործակցության մասին, որի նպատակն է ՄՊՀ Ասիայի և Աֆրիկայի երկրների  ինստիտուտում «Հայագիտություն» բակալավրիատի ծրագրի ստեղծումն ու այդ ոլորտում համագործակցության խորացումը։

Հայոց Հովվապետը գոհունակությամբ անդրադարձավ Մոսկվայի պետական համալսարանի և ԵՊՀ-ի միջև ձևավորված կապերին և հայագիտության ոլորտում նախանշվող ծրագրերին, որոնք կնպաստեն փոխադարձ ճանաչողության առավել խորացմանը, կրթության, մշակույթի և գիտության մշակների գործակցությանը` ի նպաստ երկու եղբայրական ժողովուրդների բարեկամության զորացման։

Զրույցի ընթացքում ՄՊՀ Ասիայի և Աֆրիկայի երկրների ինստիտուտի տնօրենը, շնորհակալություն հայտնելով Հայոց Հայրապետին ընդունելության համար, ներկայացրեց հայագիտության ծրագրի հեռանկարները՝ հայագետների պատրաստման, հայ մշակույթի, լեզվի և պատմության ուսումնասիրության ու տարածման գործում։ Այս առնչությամբ տիար Մասլովը կարևորեց նաև համագործակցությունը Մայր Աթոռի և Ռուսաստանի և Նոր Նախիջևանի հայոց թեմի հետ։

Իր հերթին Նորին Սրբությունն ընդգծեց, որ Հայ Եկեղեցին կարելի իր նպաստը կբերի հայագիտական ծրագրի արդյունավետ իրագործման համար։
