Ամերիկացիները և մյուս թշնամիները պետք է իմանան, որ եթե որևէ հիմարություն անեն Իրանի ժողովրդի նկատմամբ, դաժան ապտակ կստանան. այս մասին հայտարարել է Իրանի գերագույն առաջնորդ այաթոլլահ Ալի Խամենեին:

 «Մենք աջակցում ենք բոլորին, ովքեր պաշտպանում են Պաղեստինը: Մեզ սպառնացողները թող իմանան, որ մենք պատերազմ չենք սկսում, բայց ով կփորձի մեզ վնասել, ծանր հարվածներ կստանա», - ասել է նա։

Նախօրեին հաղորդվել էր, որ ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի նամակն Իրանի գերագույն առաջնորդ այաթոլլահ Ալի Խամենեիին ներառում է երկամսյա վերջնաժամկետ՝ նոր միջուկային համաձայնագրի կնքման համար: Այդ մասին Axios-ին հայտնել են նամակի բովանդակության ծանոթ մեկ ամերիկացի պաշտոնյա և երկու աղբյուր:

Պարզ չէ՝ երկամսյա ժամկետը սկսվել է նամակի առաքման պահից, թե կսկսվի բանակցությունների մեկնարկից հետո։ Բայց եթե Իրանը մերժի Թրամփի առաջարկը և չբանակցի, ապա Իրանի միջուկային օբյեկտների դեմ ԱՄՆ-ի կամ Իսրայելի ռազմական գործողությունների հնարավորությունները կտրուկ կմեծանան:

Իրանի միջուկային ծրագիրն առաջընթաց է ապրել վերջին չորս տարիների ընթացքում, և երկիրն ավելի քան երբևէ մոտ է միջուկային զենք արտադրելուն: Նրա 60% հարստացված ուրանի պաշարները մինչև 90% հարստացվելու դեպքում բավարար են վեց միջուկային ռումբի ստեղծման համար, ըստ Ատոմային էներգիայի միջազգային գործակալության: Իրանը հերքել է, որ միջուկային զենք է մտադիր ստեղծել:

Երկու շաբաթ առաջ Fox News-ին տված հարցազրույցում Թրամփը բացահայտել էր, որ նամակ է ուղարկել Իրանի առաջնորդին՝ առաջարկելով ուղիղ բանակցություններ վարել։ «Մենք չենք կարող թույլ տալ, որ նրանք միջուկային զենք ունենան»,- ասել էր նա։ Նամակը մի քանի օր առաջ Թրամփի բանագնաց Սթիվ Ուիթքոֆը փոխանցել է Արաբական Միացյալ Էմիրությունների նախագահ Մուհամեդ Բին Զայեդին Աբու Դաբիում կայացած հանդիպման ժամանակ։ Հետո նամակն առաքվել է Թեհրան:

Քաջատեղյակ աղբյուրները նշում են, որ Թրամփի նամակը Խամենեիին «կոշտ» էր: Մի կողմից նա առաջարկել է բանակցություններ վարել նոր միջուկային համաձայնագրի շուրջ, բայց մյուս կողմից զգուշացրել է հետևանքների մասին, եթե Իրանը մերժի առաջարկը և շարունակի առաջ մղել իր միջուկային ծրագիրը: Նամակում Թրամփը նշել է, որ չի ցանկանում անվերջ բանակցություններ վարել և նշել է երկամսյա ժամկետ՝ գործարքի հասնելու համար, ասել են երկու աղբյուրներ։ Մինչ նամակն իրանցիներին հանձնելը, Սպիտակ տունը ԱՄՆ մի քանի դաշնակիցների, այդ թվում՝ Իսրայելին, Սաուդյան Արաբիային և ԱՄԷ-ին, տեղեկացրել է դրա բովանդակության մասին, Axios-ին հայտնել է ամերիկացի պաշտոնյան և իրազեկ աղբյուրը:

Անցյալ շաբաթ Խամենեին Թրամփի նամակն ու բանակցությունների վերաբերյալ նրա առաջարկը որակել է «խաբեություն», որը միայն կոչված է ստեղծելու տպավորություն, որ Իրանը հրաժարվում է բանակցություններից։ Խամենեին ասել է, որ չի աջակցում ԱՄՆ-ի հետ բանակցություններին, սակայն մի քանի ժամ անց ՄԱԿ-ում Իրանի առաքելությունը հայտարարություն է տարածել X-ի վերաբերյալ և չի բացառել Իրանի և ԱՄՆ-ի միջև միջուկային ծրագրի շուրջ բանակցությունները:
