Ինչպես սոցցանցերը «սպանեցին» McDonald's-ից ծաղրածու Ռոնալդին

Տասնամյակներ շարունակ McDonald's-ը սերտորեն կապված է կենսուրախ, կարմիր մազերով ծաղրածու Ռոնալդի հետ, ով առաջին անգամ ներկայացվել է որպես արագ սննդի ցանցի թալիսման 1963 թվականին, գրում է Daily Mail-ը։
Սակայն ժամանակի ընթացքում Ռոնալդ Մակդոնալդը աստիճանաբար անհետացավ մարքեթինգային արշավներից: Իր ծաղկման շրջանում Ռոնալդին հաճախ էին տեսնում ընկերների և այլ կերպարների՝ քաղաքապետ Մաքչիսի, Hamburglar-ի, Grimaceի, Birdie the Early Bird-ի և The Fry Kids-ի հետ։
Հայտնի ծաղրածուի անհետացման պատճառ է դարձել սոցիալական ցանցերում անհանգստացնող միտումը: 2016 թվականին McDonald's-ը հայտարարեց, որ Ռոնալդ Մաքդոնալդը չի հայտնվում վախեցնող ծաղրածուների աճի պատճառով։ Այն ժամանակ մարդասպան ծաղրածուների անհանգստացնող միտումը ցնցեց աշխարհը: Դա անհանգստացնող ժամանակ էր, երբ մարդիկ հագնվում էին չարաբաստիկ արտաքինով ծաղրածուների կերպարանքով և սարսափեցնում օտարներին:
Սոցցանցերում ամեն ինչ չար շրջադարձ ստացավ, երբ մարդիկ դպրոցից դուրս հագնվում էին նրանց նման: Ոստիկանությունը պետք է ներգրավվեր. Ծաղրածուների հայտնաբերումը սկսվեց Գրինվիլում 2016 թվականի օգոստոսին, երբ ոստիկանությունը հաղորդումներ ստացավ այն մասին, որ ծաղրածուները լուռ կանգնած էին ճանապարհների եզրին, լվացքատան մոտ և փորձում էին երեխաներին գայթակղել դեպի անտառ՝ փողի պարկերով և կանաչ լազերային ճառագայթներով:
Անհասկանալի է, թե ինչից է սկսվել մոլուցքը, թեև ոմանք ենթադրում են, որ դա կարող է լինել սարսափ ֆիլմի գովազդային հնարք կամ մշակված կեղծիք:
Սարսափելի ծաղրածուների մասին նմանատիպ հաղորդումներ են ստացվել Կանադայից, Ավստրալիայից և Նոր Զելանդիայից:
Այդ ժամանակ McDonald's-ը հայտարարություն տարածեց, որում ասվում էր, որ «զգույշ է Ռոնալդ Մաքդոնալդի մասնակցության հարցում հանրային միջոցառումներին»՝ «հասարակական վայրերում ծաղրածուներին շրջապատող ներկա խնդիրների պատճառով»:
Խենթությունը նույնիսկ հասավ սարսափ ժանրի բեսթսելլերների գրող Սթիվեն Քինգին, ում 1986 թվականի վեպը պատմում է մի գերբնական արարածի մասին, որը նման է ծաղրածուի, որը կոչ է անում մեղմել հակածաղրածուների տրամադրությունները: «Հեյ տղերք, ժամանակն է թուլացնելու ծաղրածուների մասին հիստերիան. նրանցից շատերը լավն են, զվարճացնում են երեխաներին, ծիծաղեցնում են մարդկանց»,-գրել է Քինգը Twitter-ում։
