ԵՄ-ն դառնում է առավել կարևոր գործընկեր անվտանգության ոլորտում: Այս մասին ԱԺ-ում եվրոպական ինտեգրման հարցերի մշտական հանձնաժողովի նիստում հայտարարեց ԱԳ փոխնախարար Պարույր Հովհաննիսյանն ի պատասխան «Հայաստան» խմբակցության պատգամավոր Արմեն Գևորգյանի հարցի՝ անվտանգության ոլորտում մեր ակնկալիքները որո՞նք են ԵՄ-ից:

Նա նշեց, որ մեկնարկել են քաղաքական և անվտանգության երկխոսություն Եվրոմիության հետ: «Արդեն տեղի է ունեցել երկու նիստ, քննարկում ենք այլ ձևաչափեր այդ երկխոսության հովանու ներքո, որտեղ պաշտպանության և անվտանգության հարցերի շուրջ առավել ակտիվ պետք է աշխատանքներ սկսվեն։  Դրանով է պայմանավորված, որ այժմ քննարկվելիք գործընկերության նոր օրակարգում անվտանգություն ոլորտը չկար:

Իհարկե, դրա հետ է կապվում նաև Եվրամիության ընդհանուր և անվտանգային պաշտպանական քաղաքականության ներքո գործող առաքելությունների գործողությունները և այժմ պատրաստ է ստորագրության պայմանագիր, որը կստորագրվի առաջիկայում»,- ասաց նա:

ԱԳ փոխնախարարի խոսքով՝ Եվրամիության դիտորդների ներդրումը անվտանգության ոլորտում պետք է նույնպես դիտարկվի որպես կարևորագույն գործոն։ «Վստահ եմ՝ տեղյակ եք նաև, որ Եվրամիությունում լուրջ քննարկումներ են այժմ ընթանում, առավել ևս ամրապնդել այդ ոլորտը և որը նոր հեռանկարներ կբացի Եվրամիության հետ հենց այս ոլորտում համագործակցության համար»,- ասաց նա։
