По мнению британского фармацевта Амины Хан, добавки для волос, ногтей и кожи, сладкие жевательные витамины и мультивитаминные комплексы могут не отличаться высокой эффективностью. Слова эксперта приводит издание Daily Mail.
Фармацевт объяснила, что витамины в виде мармеладных фигурок часто подслащены сахаром. Варианты с низким содержанием калорий содержат другие подсластители, такие как фруктовый сок или сахарные спирты, которые могут вызвать проблемы с пищеварением. Кроме того, в мармеладных пастилках концентрация витаминов и минералов часто оказывается невысокой.
Низкой эффективностью также могут отличаться варианты, направленные на решение «нескольких проблем сразу». К ним относятся мультивитаминные комплексы и добавки для волос, ногтей и кожи. По словам Хан, для выявления конкретных дефицитных состояний в организме необходима консультация с врачом или анализ крови. После этого недостаток каждого полезного вещества нужно восполнять специально предназначенной для этого добавкой. Так, витамин В8 можно использовать для укрепления волос, а витамин D — для восстановления клеток кожи.
