Իրանը պաշտոնապես հայտարարել է, որ պատրաստ է անուղղակի բանակցել Միացյալ Նահանգների հետ։ Հայաստանի արտաքին անվտանգության մակարդակի բարձրացման նպատակով մեր պետությունը կարող է լրջորեն շահել, եթե կարողանա նախաձեռնողաբար դառնալ հենց նման բանակցությունների հարթակ, ինչի հնարավորությունն օբյեկտիվորեն առկա է. այս մասին թելեգրամյան ալիքում գրել է իրանագետ Վարդան Ոսկանյանը:
