Մեծ Բրիտանիան Ադրբեջանին կոչ է արել ազատ արձակել պահվող հայերին

Մեծ Բրիտանիայի Լորդերի պալատում բարձրացվել է հարց Ադրբեջանի կողմից Լեռնային Ղարաբաղից գերեվարված 23 հայերի նկատմամբ դաժան վերաբերմունքի մասին։
Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, հարցի հեղինակը եղել է Վինչեսթերի եպիսկոպոսը, հարցին պատասխանել է Լեյբորիստական կուսակցության անդամ, Դառլինգթոնի բարոնուհի Ջենի Չեփմանը՝ ներկայացնելով Արտաքին գործերի, համագործակցության և զարգացման նախարարության պատասխանը։
Եպիսկոպոսը հարցրել է, թե ինչ հայտարարություններով են Մեծ Բրիտանիայի իշխանությունները դիմել Ադրբեջանի կառավարությանը, և ինչ քայլեր են ձեռնարկվում միջազգային գործընկերների հետ համակարգմամբ՝ Ադրբեջանի կողմից իր միջազգային պարտավորությունների կատարման ապահովման նպատակով։
Ի պատասխան՝ բարոնուհի Չեփմանը նշել է, որ Մեծ Բրիտանիան Ադրբեջանի իշխանություններին կոչ է արել ապահովել, որպեսզի 2023 թվականի սեպտեմբերին Լեռնային Ղարաբաղում ռազմական գործողությունների ժամանակ ձերբակալված անձինք կանգնեն արդար դատաքննության առջև և պահվեն անվտանգ պայմաններում՝ համաձայն Ադրբեջանի ստանձնած միջազգային պարտավորությունների։
«Մեր դեսպանատունը Բաքվում ուշադիր հետևում է այդ գործերին և պարբերաբար թարմացումներ է պահանջում՝ տեղյակ լինելու ընթացիկ զարգացումներին։ Մենք նաև շարունակաբար կոչ ենք անում ազատ արձակել մնացած բոլոր ռազմագերիներին։ Պետնախարար Սթիվեն Դոութին այս հարցերը քննարկել է Ադրբեջանի նախագահի հատուկ հանձնարարություններով ներկայացուցիչ Էլչին Ամիրբեկովի հետ՝ 2024 թվականի հոկտեմբերին վերջինիս՝ Բրիտանիա կատարած այցի ժամանակ։ Իսկ 2025 թվականի մարտի 10-ին Ադրբեջանի նախագահի գլխավոր խորհրդական Հիքմեթ Հաջիևի հետ հանդիպման ժամանակ նա ընդգծել է խաղաղության պայմանագրի ստորագրման հնարավորության կարևորությունը։ Նույն ուղերձները փոխանցվել են նաև Մեծ Բրիտանիայի վարչապետի և արտաքին գործերի նախարարի կողմից»,- նշված է պատասխանի մեջ։
